Session #10 - December 5, 1982
Gloria’s Circle

Present: Owen and Maxine Cramer, LaMar Bell, Richard and Mary White, Myra
Perala, Ida Nevala, Clista Brooks

S/T: Good evening. Blessings to all of you. How are you this evening?
(Various responses) We thank you for your earnest regards. It would
seem that there are questions to be discussed before we proceed to the homily. We
are aware of your studies in between our personal sessions, and we are most
gratified that the time and energy spent is not for naught... Do you have questions to
be presented at this time?

Myra: When we met last week, Silverthistle, quite a few questions came out of
our discussion. One of the first was “What is the difference between personality and
soul? Are they the same thing? When we pass through the veil do we take the same
personality with us?

S/T: The personality is a product of the ego in order for the ego to fulfill its
mission. The soul is the parent of the ego. The personality stems from the soul but
not in direct ways.

Myra: So when we come back to this realm after we are there for a while, how
much influence does the personality of the previous incarnation have on this one?

S/T: It has everything to do with the following one because the ego has a
certain obligation, a mission, to fulfill. The ego, as you know it, identifies you in this
small life span in which the ego carries a particular label, but it is not the ego of
which we speak. It is in the way of a too small concept on your part when you speak
of your ego.
When we tell you of the ego produced by parent soul, we are talking of an
ongoing beingness which will endure throughout a number of life experiences and
also affect lives in other realities besides this one. What you call ego is your
personality, and for some time following the transition that personality does
continue to exist even to carrying the same name or label. But the ego which we
speak of as being born of the soul will persist through any number of reincarnations
until the entire mission is completed.

Richard: Each time with a different personality with the same ego. (Other
comments among the group).

S/T:There is always that essential being or ego which is at the center of the
lifetime and is conducting the lifetime and putting them (the lifetimes) together in
such a way that the soul experiences growth of self knowledge.

Richard: And at the same time that soul has other egos that are involved in other
experiences.

S/T: Yes. Some experiences in this realm in which you are now focused
and also (some experiences) in other realities which you will be experiencing at some
other place and time insofar as your consciousness is concerned.

LaMar: This is gestalt. I have heard of this for many years and never understood it
until Silverthistle explained that we can be, and are, more than one person.
(Congratulatory comments from Silverthistle as to group’s understanding and LaMar’s
explanation.)
I hope you will have some more assignments for us. I was just telling the group,
as you probably heard before the meeting started, that I am now having the deepest and
best meditations that I have had for many years, and the assignment that you gave us was
where I got back on the track and started to have really deep meditations. I thank you
very much.
Myra: We had another question, Silverthistle. To what extent do you visualize
our questions?
Owen: Are you aware of the questions in our minds before we ask them, and are
you aware of our presence and our names and such as that before we express them?

S/T: As has been given before, yes, I am telepathic, but again, to reinforce
what was given before, you have privacy. Even I cannot invade your mind unless
you invite me in. You invite me in inasmuch as you joined this circle, and questions
are voiced, but even then I do not attempt to pass the barrier of privacy.

Owen: We were talking earlier of the matter of introducing ourselves, and we
thought if you were aware of who we each are that this might be unnecessary. Would it
be desirable if we did introduce ourselves, the people in the group, each time?

S/T: Stating your names each time we meet adds your personal power to
the energy structure which is being built by our mutual participation. It is not
redundant, but most desirable. (The group proceeds to introduce themselves by stating
their names aloud. Everyone showed enjoyment when Silverthistle added his name to the
group.)

Richard: I have a question about the assignment that you gave us some weeks ago
regarding the staircase. I have been having trouble trying to use that concept in my
meditation. The staircase I always receive is a narrow one consisting of sixty thin steps
up to a small platform maybe three feet square, and then steps down the other side. There
is nothing visible around me while I am on the stairway, nothing but a void. The stairs
coming down are not necessarily the same number, but approximately so. It’s an un-
nerving experience for me because I’m not sure that I’m not going to make a mistake and
step off the side. The stairs are never very broad. They’re very narrow and shallow. I
don’t know quite what to make of it, and I never have a good feeling. I never have any
feeling aside from being on those steps, and I’m glad to get off. Do you have any
comments?

S/T: This experience is indicative of the life span in which you now find
yourself focused. The fact that the stairs are narrow and shallow indicates a certain
degree of narrowness and shallowness in the imaginative faculty. You require things
to be laid out very clearly. You are of a technical turn of mind and prefer to deal in
facts.
When you are put into a position where you are not dealing in what you call
hard facts, you become uncertain. That feeling you experience of a bottomless area
is that fear you hold within yourself of being lost in an imaginative realm.
In another life experience you were an artist and became so enraptured in
the imaginative world that you are now tied to this world of phenomena, and thus
you feel safer with hard, cold facts. This life then needs to have the extension of the
imaginative faculty, or a meeting between these two realms.
If it is not possible for you to achieve this in this life span, you may choose to
do so in another, but the fact that you are trying to meditate, that you are indeed a
part of this circle is demonstrative of your struggle towards finding that union of
these two sides of your nature. Do pursue the staircase idea attempting to make the
staircase firmer, more hospitable. Work on expanding that narrow landing into a
wider, broader vista in which you can feel comfortable. When you have done this
then work on building a staircase which you may descend with certainty that there
is a place for you to reach, that the stairs do not simply descend into nothingness.
When you have succeeded in building this imaginative staircase or stile, you
will become aware of some of the events and experiences of the other lives which
have caused you to be so fearful in this life.

Ida: I have a question. I haven’t been able to get a staircase, and when I try to
meditate I just dose off because I want to climb up the green hillside. Is it just a dream, or
is it I just don’t know how to go about it?

S/T: The fact that you picture a green hillside in itself has a message for
you. The fact that you cannot imagine the staircase also has a message for you. The
latter message is that you have not sufficiently disciplined your imaginative faculty
but have depended upon external pressures and stimuli to provide this experience
for you in this life. Climbing the green mountain is indicative of this life struggle
with physical limitations which you have endeavored to overcome -- the expression
of an indomitable will that will not permit the physical to sway and hold you back.
Does that help you to understand?

Ida: Well, I’m not sure. The last time I went climbing that mountain hillside
my voice told me “Why do you do that – always try to climb?”

S/T: That is exactly what I say to you.

Myra: Silverthistle could I ask about my experience? It was like a scene. It was
like I was inside of a – it was like stone. It was like an ancient castle perhaps, and the
steps went up to what looked like a parapet. There were sixteen steps up and there I found
the stairway down, but I couldn’t seem to count those. I got down easily. Then I looked
out and it was like a meadow. It was just beautiful. It was rippling with grass, and it was
like I had come up out of something into something rather beautiful.

S/T: The message here lies in the sixteen steps of stone within stone walls.
The stones represent the material world in which you are now focused. Sixteen is the
mystical seven, showing that you have in this lifetime the capacity to transcend
above the material world and to develop those natural characteristics which you will
enjoy in another life.
The fact that you come down the stairs into the meadow is again a clear
indication of escapement from this physical realm by virtue of the thoughts you
entertain and the actions you take as a result of those thoughts while you are still
focused into this material realm. Did you ask yourself at the top of the stairs what it
was you most wanted to do at that moment?
(Myra says she did but can’t remember the answer. It was more important to get
down.) I suggest that you continue this exercise until you can comfortably
remember the answer. But do not be discouraged for you are doing very well.

Owen: I had some difficulty in visualizing stairs that I could get hold of. The
stairs seemed to be very tall and very steep, and I could visualize the stairs, but I couldn’t
visualize myself climbing up. This was a real climb, but finally I had this one meditation
where I did get some picture. It was a path in a park in the autumn. There were hard
wood trees and the autumn colors. I found a stairway off to the right of the path. They
were white wooden stairs. I went up about eight stairs to a small platform, and then off a
little bit to the right farther, another sixteen steps to a larger platform area – kind of a
gazebo type platform with a cover on it, open all around in the tree top area.
I walked around that for a while and found another narrow flight of seventeen
steps to a smaller enclosure, still in the treetops, and I did at that point ask what I wanted
to do. The thought was that I most wanted to help others. From there I looked for
descending stairs but saw a narrow bridge leading horizontally away to a lovely sunlit
garden in the distance. The stair numbers I was a little bit unsure of so those are a little bit
approximate.

S/T: Very well. That story tells you that as you walk the pathway through
the park there is a side to your nature that is in tune with the nature of the world in
which you dwell. The first eight stairs indicate power. Thus as you attune yourself to
the natural world around, you obtain a degree of power which enables you to go on
still higher.
The sixteen stairs become the mystical seven, so this again tells you that the
power you develop through attunement with your natural world leads you to a
mystical realm in which you find a certain degree of self-understanding, as you walk
around the small enclosure out of which you can view other realities. The gazebo
would be representative of the meditative state. Through meditation you have many
avenues to explore, much to see from that height. The bridge is representative of
transition, and you reach the bridge from the gazebo via eight steps – again, power.
You come into a sunlit area – a state of enlightenment. In another life you
were a member of the priesthood, and you, at that time, enjoyed the knowledge of
the mysteries which you are now studying. These studies for you should sponsor
fond memories -- memories that come through from this life as a priest.
But you have much power at your command to control the nature of your
environment. As you attune yourself to the naturalness of your environment, you
will become dominant over it, and through the mystery of your material world you
go on to self-mastery, which then enables you to cross the bridge into another realm
of understanding. Thus you will not need to return to this particular realm unless
you so choose.

Myra: I had another meditation with the staircase which was really fascinating to
me. I was searching for the staircase, and I came to a concrete wall. The stairs were on
the outside of the wall. I went up eight steps to a platform. Then I turned and went back
the way I came up eight more. Ultimately I climbed thirty six steps, and I didn’t get tired
at all as I climbed.
When I got to the top of the stairs that were on a concrete wall all the way up, I
was at the top and looked out over a great vista of a very high island. I was at Masada in
Israel a few years ago, and this looked like the Masada. When I got to the top I said,
“What shall I do here,” and very clearly the message, “Listen and learn.” So I poked
around in all the nooks and crannies that were there as I remembered them – the Masada.
It was amazing to me that I was there.
I listened and listened for a long time, but I don’t know what I learned because it
didn’t seem like any message came to me. Then I decided it was time for me to come
back. I looked for a place to come down. I found a tunnel, and I went into the tunnel. It
was about eight feet around, and it sloped down. I had been wanting to run for a long
time, but I had hurt my knee., and I had not been able to run, but I just got a big
exhilaration out of running through this tunnel. I came down without any steps at all –
just the sloping tunnel, all the way back down to the bottom.

S/T: Throughout your experience the number eight continues to appear
which is the number of power and domination over the material realm. Again, the
stone represents the material realm and the zig-zagging back and forth represent
the turns which your life has taken. You will recall when your life has taken a turn,
it has been a radical (turn) or 180 degree turn. The fact that you could descend
joyously running through the tunnel shows that you can handle the tunnel vision of
this material realm. As you approach the end of your life, you will be listening and
learning and poking around in the nooks and crannies of your mind, searching out
those experiences which will enable you to make the transition with ease and in full
consciousness.

Maxine: I had another stair climbing. I did it for several days and it always had the
very same set of stairs. This time it was like a Maxfield Parrish setting where I went up
25 steps to the courts where I could look out over the land below -- all this beautiful
green grass with flowers growing in beautiful gardens. I did ask myself a question, but I
don’t recall what that question was. I do recall that I didn’t want to leave there. I didn’t
want to come down those steps. I was just happy to be there, to look over this beautiful
green lawn and the lovely flowers. But I did come down the steps, the same 25 that I had
climbed.

S/T: Very good. The 25 reduces to the mystical 7. If you will listen to the
recounting of experiences among this group you will find the mystical seven
appearing and reappearing which gives you some concept of why you are together.
Your staircase of 25 steps represents your ability to enter the mystical realm
although encased in a physical body. It demonstrates to you the heights of splendor
you can reach through meditation, but warns you of the reluctance you will feel to
return to this physical realm when you would prefer to stay in the heights and enjoy
the view, but that must not dismay you nor discourage you from trying to develop
your powers of concentration and meditation. That is one of the main reasons that
you are part of this group. Do persist. You do well.

LaMar: Silverthistle, I have a question. I don’t know if you want to take it now. It
concerns the meditation that I have and have had for many years. The deepest
meditations that I get seem to always follow this same pattern. It does not involve the
staircase, however, although that was a beautiful meditation. But when I experience my
very deepest meditations, I almost always feel myself going down, and then just, I don’t
know if it is my consciousness or just what it is, just spreading out into a magnificent
beautiful large area. It seems like I am always part way up on a hillside with timber above
me and a beautiful meadow below. I’m going down across this meadow, and at the foot
of that meadow is a log house at the edge of the timber. That is pretty much it. As I say,
for years when I go into a really super meditation, it almost always follows this same
pattern. I have wondered many times why.

S/T: You are going back to that point of consciousness just prior to entry
into this life span. The timber above you is this realm manifestation or
objectification of the ego’s aspiration to obtain the lofty height or reach back to the
parent soul. The meadow below you represents the beauty and peace which you
have to enjoy in that in-between-time. The cabin represents that life which you are
now in as you sat on the hillside and contemplated the limitations and restrictions
that you were about to adopt. They appear in this realm of understanding as a log
cabin. I do believe that if you will consider these words in your next meditation, you
will develop further information without my giving it to you.

Clista: Silverthistle, I’d like to tell you my staircase. It is a marble, curving one. It
goes up for twenty steps. Then there’s a platform and big ornate doors, like church doors.
Then it goes up twenty more. Then there’s a platform with more doors, and it goes up
each time like that around four doors. Then it quits. Twenty times each time, and then I
can’t go back down those same stairs. The only way down is down a brass pole that you
slide down, like a fireman’s pole.

S/T: The marble stairs represent the beauty of this material world and the
seeming permanence of it. The fact that your staircases all contain twenty steps
refers back to the original duality of the consciousness which you now wear and the
need for you to see yourself reflected in your environment so that you begin to
understand how you create that environment out of your own consciousness.
The multiple doors are representative of growth in consciousness throughout
this lifetime. As you come to understand certain things in this life, you pass through
a set of doors, and then enter another staircase, again indicative of the need to see
your own reflection.
One of your problems in this lifetime stems from another life in which you
were wealthy and pampered without duties or obligations or responsibility in which
you were extremely spoiled and self-loving. In this lifetime you have adopted
circumstances which have prevented you from developing sufficient self-esteem, and
this meditation is trying to turn you to that recognition of the specialness of your
individuality and of your importance in the scheme of things. When you have
developed more self-esteem, more self-confidence, you will not have any trouble
dealing with the material world. You will have the dominance over the material
world indicated by the sliding down the pole. the brass pole representative of those
things in the material world which one tends to worship without intending to make
false gods. They will simply be a means of egress for you, rather than something that
has control over you. Does that help you to understand?

Myra: Eileen had a question last Saturday night, Silverthistle, that she was
thinking about next time when you said that on December 18 we will have time for
individual questions. She was wondering if you could foretell the future.

S/T: To a certain degree. I have the privilege of an overview which is not
given to you in the physical body. I prefer not to say more at this time.
I do believe in the interest of time we must proceed with tonight’s
presentation. “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men shall revile you and
persecute you and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and
be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For so persecuted they the
prophets which were before you”. And thus we have the last beatitude.
Now this last beatitude is greatly misunderstood. It is not a law that you be
martyred for believing in Jesus Christ. Rather, this is to tell you that anyone who
does not conform to mass thinking is going to be ostracized. Thus you become a
particularly special individual when you operate under the laws of the other
beatitudes and when you conduct your life according to these laws, others cannot
avoid seeing that specialness about you.
Thus they become fearful of you and in order to protect themselves say evil
falsely against you, revile you, persecute you. Many times this simply takes the form
of negative thoughts, but can take the form of overt violence, as in the case of crime.
But inasmuch as observation and cooperation with the laws of the beatitudes
enables you to have self-mastery and dominance over your material world, you do
indeed have the great reward. So did the prophets, as you have been told. They were
people of special skills, set apart, ostracized because they were feared, protected
because they understood the laws of this universe.
But you have not self-mastery until you do understand the laws under which
you have been given life. And now I recommend to you that you go back over the
lessons and study again and again the beatitudes. Master them and you master
yourself. And so it is done.

Judith: Let us proceed, my precious ones, with tonight’s lesson, and we will
close with the healing. When last I spoke with you we talked about the life – the
independence of life, the creation of life, and the creative power of life, and the
importance of your understanding this principle. Tonight I wish to give you some
new words in order for you to better deal with the things of which we must talk. For
the sake of comprehension let us consider the divine dew drop as a nousphere. That
is a Greek word, n-o-u, meaning mind. But do expand that to include all nine
components. Consider the nousphere as being the realm of things in themselves
without self-knowledge.
This, then, is the home or the birthplace of noumena. That is those
experiences, those realities, not yet objectified, but nevertheless essentially real. Now
you dwell in a realm of phenomena, so let us call this realm in which you now exist
the realm of phaenosphere, that is that sphere in which objectified reality becomes
real to you through the use of your senses and thus you obtain through the
phaenosphere self-knowledge.
So for our forthcoming discussion then, we will deal with the nousphere,
noumena, the phaenosphere and phenomena. As each unit emerges from the
nousphere through the process previously given you, that unit carries always within
it an area of nousphere and always within it the potentiality of phaenosphere. Now
sometimes the potentiality becomes realized, and thus through this process has come
the reality which you now consider to be your reality because it is the one in which
you are most intensely focused.
But always there exists other realities, some still noumenon other than
phenomenon. But there are realities of phenomena in which you function
unconsciously. Without going into a great deal of technical detail, we will simplify
and say that this world of phenomena is comprised of spirit, force, and matter.
Now each of these three is comprised of three of the original nine
components. This is true of this material reality, not necessarily true of other
realities. But the other realities are comprised of the same units as this reality. The
objectification of any reality is interpreted through the consciousness and the
objectification is a creation of the noumenal world contained within you. It is out of
the noumenal world that your ideas come to you. It is through the noumenal world
within you that you are given inspiration. It is through the noumenal world within
you that you conceptualize the environment in which you wish to live.
Now while I speak of this on an individual basis, this exists on a group basis
as well. Thus there is a noumenal world within a family, a noumenal world within a
government, a noumenal world within a nation or any aggregation of intelligence, or
consciousness or beingness that you wish to determine.
Thus as individuals you create your immediate environment yourself but
overall that is subject to creativity of the noumenal world of the group of which you
are a part. Now as you exist in other realities, some of these truths exist in those
realities as well. You are never at any time divorced from a reality of some kind.
So you come into this reality from another reality in which you have decided
that this reality is going to provide for you. Thus you make your choice prior to the
creation of the environment. Now your create the environment by creating the body
which you wear and by creating the subtle bodies which you wear, by creating the
thoughts which you think, which determine the action that you take. Thus the
noumenal world always lies within and behind the phenomenal world.
Through your sensory system you evaluate the phenomenal world which you
yourself created. Through the understanding which you achieve through your
sensory system, you are then able to abstract some understanding of the noumenal
world out of which you came. This may seem something of a never-ending cycle for
indeed that is what it is. You are always and never cease to be. While there are
periodicities where you exist in this reality and sometimes are non-existent in this
reality, you are never without existence in some reality insofar as you are a product
of your parent soul.
At such time as you, the ego, produced by the parent soul, have completed
the cycle of life planned for you, you will then enter another reality which is not
necessarily supervised or governed by an ego. The ego is necessary to function in a
phenomenal reality, although the phenomenal reality may not be a material reality.
That is to say that the five senses which you now think you enjoy are related directly
to this material world in which you believe you have your sole existence.
But there are sensory systems in other realities through which you come to
know the phenomena in that other reality. You touch these other realities in dreams,
meditation and fantasy as has been given before. Thus it does behoove you to
indulge yourself in this kind of activity if you are to expand all of the realities in
which you have concurrent existence.
As you develop the consciousness of all the realities in which you have
existence, you forward the ego’s mission and thus eliminate some of the steps,
perhaps, in between. So you do have control to a certain degree over whether or not
you will come back into another experience of this material realm.
As you go through your coming holidays and all of the excitement of friends
and families and celebration, try to keep in mind this noumenal world that brings
all of these things into phenomenal objectification, and see if your experience of this
coming season is not richer than any other season you have enjoyed.
With this word then I bid you god speed through the coming weeks and
many, many blessings of joy of your coming experiences. And so good night and god
bless you.

S/T: And now let us have our healing with these high vibrations which
Judith has left with us. That’s right. Stir up the energy. You are high voltage
tonight. Call in your loved ones.
Now as we proceed you may continue to think of others that you wish to
bring in. In keeping with that which Judith has given this evening, visualize the blue
leading into the violet spectrum rather than the green. Rub your palms together and
see the violet light build. The violet light belongs to the noumenal world. (Group
sings Alleluia at Silverthistle’s suggestion) Can you see the violet light. Your singing
has taken it further into the purple spectrum. It is most beautiful and most healing.
As this very high vibration envelopes your loved ones and envelopes yourself,
healing comes into that area of creativity, so that rather than creating illness one
creates wholeness.
Feel these high vibrations as they spread out and fill this room with a
beautiful, very clear deep purple. It is indeed a splendor. Feel your being
permeated, saturated, with this very high level energy. Some may feel a tingling at
the base of the skull, at the top of the back of the neck. This is the endocrine system
response to this high level vibratory healing energy.

LaMar: Is that why my third eye feels like it wants to become wide open?

S/T: That could be.
Now begin to share this beautiful energy with all others in your world
and on your planet, with deep loving desire, and these vibrations surround your
planet to bring healing into the creative faculty of those in responsible positions and
to bring healing to all who are in need this night. As you do this a beautiful silvery
light rises among you, a blessing to each and every one of you.
You have been very powerful this night. Do not forget as you bring your
healing effort to a close, to meet your palms and lock the blessing within yourselves
that you may go forth and disseminate this goodness to all with whom you come in
contact through the coming weeks.
Now I give you all my blessing and thank you for sharing your energies and
for your high good intentions.

Session closed with singing “Let there be peace on earth.”
