Session #112 – December 11. 1988
Gloria’s Circle

and Sidney Smither

Following the usual opening ceremonies:

Sheariam: Blessings and good morning to you all. So we meet for the last time in
this calendar year of yours. I would speak to you of the meaning of this time of year.
In your Christian ethic, you are about to enter a period in which you celebrate the
birth of a religious leader. This is an outgrowth of a planned program, a power
structure, but it has its roots in a time of great meaning to the human Quality.
As the human Quality manifests on this planet, it must live in accordance
with this planet’s relationship to its solar center. You, in this geographical location,
come at this time of your year, when you must live at the farthest point from this
solar center. Thus your nights are long and your days are short. In the occult
meaning of this time of year, this is the “sleep”. This is the period of rest, of retreat,
of staying close to the hearth fires, especially those fires that burn within, those fires
of being from which your true warmth comes.
The hearth of your home provides the warmth to surround the bodies that
you wear, but it is the fire at the center which is most important, and this is the
season when that fire is to be sought. It is the season to go within, to evaluate what
you have reaped, to plan for what you shall be sowing, to prepare yourselves for
your next cycle of activity, of externalization. This is the time of internalization, self-
contemplation, self-evaluation.
As initiates, you will come to that state of consciousness when you shall
command your circumstances in full awareness. Now, you partly command your
circumstances, and not always with awareness. This is that time of your year when
you must seek that center of generation, that eternal fire that re-creates you, and
this can only be done in withdrawal. It is a time to be within one’s self. As the power
structure draws you out, encourages you to externalize, it defeats the purposes of
this time of your year. It dissipates your strengths.
Now do not take this as black and white. We are not recommending that you
not celebrate, for Life itself is a celebration. But be aware that it is the within fire
that warms, and it is that fire that must be sought at this time, when your solar fires
are at far distance from you. It is in your summer, when you are close to your sun,
when you may freely externalize. Then is the time of manifestation. Now is the time
for preparing for that manifestation.
Now, of great concern to you have been our prophecies of coming
disturbances. This concern is one reason that we do not prophesy excessively,
because you get caught up in the concern and ignore the possibilities. Now, in this
time, in this place, your lives will be temporarily disturbed during the latter part of
this dormancy season. That is to say, in your calendar, possibly in your February or
March. You lives may be temporarily disturbed. The disturbances that you
experience at that time will enable you to forecast what it is you must do. It will be
the forerunner of what is to come for you. Those of you who suffer little disturbance
will not experience further great disturbance. Those of you who suffer great
disturbance can expect greater yet.
You asked us to give you guidance, and this we do, but it is for you to make
the choices as to how you will deal with these very physical planetary disturbances.
What we have aspired to do, is to instill in you enough confidence in the larger
beingness of yourselves that you will handle these disturbances with élan, with grace
and courage and faith. As you do so, you provide support systems for those who do
not have those kinds of inner strength. So use this season of within-ness to shore up
your inner strength, to fire up your faith, to capture within that sense of eternality,
of imperishability of Life that is the central sun of joy in the human Quality.
In the coming months, many of you will find that you are called upon to
render assistance in ways you have never yet experienced. Much to your
amazement, you will find yourselves not only capable, but doing the job well. You
will truly come into the Hadiki Consciousness with the next few months.
There are great disturbances in your atmosphere and great disturbances
within the bowels of your planet. As these work together and against each other,
many changes are upon you. We cannot dictate what these changes will be for you
individually, for that is an invasion of your right to your own growth, to the right of
your own command of your circumstances. We will be with you to guide, comfort
and support, but we cannot protect. We have done all we can to protect you by
arming you with knowledge. Now it will be you who must use that knowledge to
greatest advantage. Do not, in moments of terror and panic, forget your power of
invocation. Do not forget to call upon those forces and strengths of which we have
made you aware.
Enjoy your holiday season, but always be in touch with that inner citadel,
which is all you truly have, and the friendly universe will assist you to arrange your
circumstances in such a manner that you can capably command your situation.
Now for our lesson this morning, let us address Comfort and Luxury, for
these four basic Purposes, of which we have recently taught, shall be of great
importance to you in this coming disturbing time. You will find that your concept of
Comfort greatly changes. What you now regard as Luxury will be unimportant.
These attitudes are relative. Luxury can be a meal when there has been no food, not
the fats and the sugars that you consider Luxury now.
So what is Luxury? What is Comfort? Two things: peace of mind and
serenity of heart. All else is extraneous. If you can remain calm when all about you
is panic, you have the height of Luxury. You have the greatest of Security. There is
no question of Survival and you do not need Comfort, for you are Comfort.
The Comfort you seek in the arms of another, whether mother, brother or
lover, is only a reflection of the Comfort from what is now, to you, unseen. When for
Comfort, you seek the unseen before you seek like kind, you will have elevated your
state of consciousness and increased your Volitional Capacity. You will find that you
can accomplish great feats of strength and endurance. These troubling times to
come will sort out those who can do this, and will reveal to you where you stand in
your evolutionary development, insofar as Quantifying your human Quality.
After your hiatus, and we again come together, we will move on to the final
platform on the wheel of Karma. Now I would help you in any way that I may.

Owen: In our Friday study group, we felt that we did not understand the
distinction and definitions in each case that would help us separate the terms: Entity, Self,
Psyche and Higher Self.

Sheariam:They are, indeed, not entirely clearly separately identifiable. Entity is
a composite of experience brought together by Soul, expressed through Ego. Thus
Entity is of Ego and expresses in Selves that have portions of that composite
experience to manifest through Personality.
Personality has an Ego that is its sense of Self. It is the way one regards one’s
Self, limited in Personality. The Self of the manifesting Personality is Entity, the
composite of the many things, only part of which the personality will express. That
Entity Self is still only part of the Ego Self. In the Realm of Self, we are using that
word “Self” to represent an “it”, a “thing”, an “item”, but it is a complexity.
Now, when you speak of multiple Selves, that is in error. Multi-dimensional
Self is a reality. The Entity is multi-dimensional also. So while you are here as
“Personality”, there are other dimensions of Self in other Personalities elsewhere, all
part of the same Entity Self, which is again part of Ego Self. It is as the fingers on
your hand all work together to grasp. The arm to which the hand is attenuated
might be considered to be the Soul, and the large part of the hand the Ego, and each
digit an Entity.
Now sometimes the Entity “thumb” is used in conjunction with an Entity
“finger” to pick something up. Each of those Entities expresses itself in various ways
such as fingernail, skin, bone, tissue, all part and parcel of the same thing, but each
with its own Personality, and its own Function.
So you are a Function of an Entity, and you may meet other Entities and
work together to a common Purpose, but you must work together with the other
Personalities of your Entity in order to fulfill what the Ego needs you to do. A hand
without fingers is greatly incapacitated. An Entity without extensions through
Personality is greatly incapacitated. Psyche could be said to be that communicating
capacity, the passing of Knowledge between Entities and Personalities. Does that
analogy assist you?

Owen: Yes, it does. It helps greatly. Thank you. Where does “Higher Self” come
in? Is that a term that you use? (That is like one saying that I understand at “gut level”
or, I understand at “heart level”, or I understand at “head level”. All the same,
different levels. One cannot exist without the other and function fully.)
Then it’s not a separate structure. It’s just a level at which we happen to operate.
(Another part, yes. But you see a more sophisticated part, as the “head level” is
more sophisticated in complexity than “gut level”. The difference between Desire
Body and Emotional Body and Mental Body, more complex, more sophisticated.)

Jon Paul: Sheariam, I have a personal question. You asked me to report back after
meditating on my stone in the middle, holding it to a candle and meditating upon it. I feel
that it has to do with my heart level, surrendering all the energies within my chakras to
the heart level. I’m learning to surrender in my heart. It has to do with balancing the male
and female sides of myself to be a powerful person.
The thing that has come through is that on my masculine side, what I dislike most
is the anger, and that I need to heal the violence that anger, unexpressed, leads to. On my
feminine side, the fear of the female taking her rightful place in my chakras and where
that might lead me. I ask myself, “What does this stone remind me of?” It reminds me of
the southwest and Mayan Jade, the blue-green waters of the tropics. I’ve learned to use
the stone to rejuvenate myself and to calm myself in times when I have impatient energy
and things are not quite right.
Silverthistle said that I would go to another culture to learn something that I
would bring back to this culture to teach. I’m going to Guatemala and also Mexico, and I
feel it has to do with a freeing of the emotions, since those cultures are much freer than
this culture. Because of our Puritan background we have a tendency to suppress our
emotions. Could you comment on all this and give me any advice on what I should know
now as I leave on my quest?

Sheariam: Yes, indeed, the time has come for you to depart our company. There
are those from the temple who shall travel with you, and you will find, on a very
high mountain, a lake, beside which there is a structure. The structure is hidden in
jungle, but it is there, and your consciousness will ascertain its presence. You will
find it, and, in the waters of that lake, you shall bathe, cold though they may be. In
that you will find an altered state of consciousness which will reveal to you the
answers to the many questions.

Jon Paul: Would this lake be in Guatemala: Would it be Lake Atitlan? (We cannot
direct you. You must find it for yourself.) But I will be directed, just by being open to
it? (And take your stone with you.) Continue meditating on it? (Yes.) Any other things
you feel I should know? (Be prepared to spend from seven to ten days solely on your
own resources. Be prepared. (That’s during this time period, or is this when I’m at the
lake? (At some time during your trip, during your journey. It will be part of the
quest, but not part of your plan.)
Would this be at the same time when there’s this difficulty here? (That we
cannot answer.) So I should best prepare those that I’m leaving behind to be open to
what will come? (Do not plant seeds of fear.) Just prepare. Provide them with what they
need.(Make them know how much you love them.) Thank you, Sheariam. (Blessings
on your quest. Know that we shall be with you.) Thank you.

Jenika: I would like to report on my well meditations. This is over a period of
about a year and a half. For many months I was on the swing, as you know, and that’s the
last interpretation you gave me when you said I was leaving the past and going forward to
the future, because I was going back and forth on the swing.
Then I was on a high ledge for a long time, many months, with William, and I
experienced a lot of severe weather changes, a lot of storm and cold and wind. For many
months I was there and had great difficulty getting off the ledge, but finally I manifested
a rope, and I got off and fell into a meadow. In the meadow was a bull, who initially
charged me, but I made friends with him, and I rode on him, back and forth through the
meadow for many months. An Indian would always come up to me, riding up in full
headdress on a horse when I was on the bull, and point over my left shoulder. I didn’t
know what that meant. I couldn’t really get too much communication going, but he would
always point over my left shoulder. Then he would ride off.
Then I finally decided it was time to go to the well because it had been many,
many months since I’d been to the well. So, I took off on the bull, and we traveled for,
again, months, over very, very parched land, with huge fissures on the left where we were
traveling, where we would have to go around, or jump, or something. On the right was a
canyon, a very deep canyon, which was bottomless, it seemed. At one point, I had to be
tied on the bull because I could not hold on. I was tired. I finally decided I wasn’t going
fast enough, so I found a horse to take me to the well.
At the well, things are kind of quiet. William isn’t there, but Joshua is there. I’m
having trouble drinking out of the well, though, and this has been a problem for a long
time. There are little black things in the well, and I can’t get my water pure. I tried all
different kinds of devices, but nothing ha worked. Now it seems that even monsters are in
the well. So I’m kind of at a stand still. I want to drink and talk to Joshua, but there’s this
big thing looming there, and I can’t get a drink of water, which is the goal when you’re at
the well. So, if you could give me some comments on the different aspects of the well
meditation, I would appreciate it.

Sheariam: If you will analyze the events that have manifested over this period of
time, you will see that the symbology of your meditations clearly bespeaks these.
First, you are cliff-hanging. You are indecisive. You will not exercise your will. You
sit on the ledge with Will, until you choose to manifest. Then you are able to get off
the cliff.
The bull symbolizes fertility, creativity, which you must use in order to create
your life. So, for a while, you simply ride your creativity around and around. You
don’t really do anything with it, although you are now riding it. But you are an
impatient young lady. You want the bull to do more for you, to go faster, to do
things for you, and you are the one who must do it. You say, “I am weak. I am tired,
and so I will be ill, and then I will not have to do anything. The bull will have to do it
for me. And you find that is not true. You must exchange the bull for a horse, which
is your ego self, your sense of pride, your sense of knowing that you are capable.
Then you can move, even though it is dangerous. You see fissures opening all
about you. If you are not careful you will not succeed, or so you tell yourself. But
eventually you do arrive at the well. You see, you have used initiative. You have
been creative. You changed the bull to a horse. You brought yourself to the well,
And, of course, Will is not there for you have taken will in your own hands. It’s
Joshua who is there, the guide, the leader, the one who points the way, the escort.
Joshua simply waits to escort you to where you must go, but you linger at the well.
You want to taste the fruits of life, and they are filled with pollution, and killing
monsters. But what you need is the refreshment of spiritual waters. Ask Joshua for
a drink of the spiritual waters, and then report back.

Jenika: OK. What does the Indian represent, who kept pointing over my shoulder?
(Sagacity, wisdom, wisdom of tradition, and pointing over your left shoulder is
telling you to tap into your own intuitive wisdom. Stop looking outside yourself.) So
it isn’t such a bad thing that the water is polluted. It’s just that I’m looking in the wrong
place. (Yes.)
I wanted to ask you something else. In the morning when I do my meditations,
what is the best way for a morning meditation as far as the temple teachers are
concerned? Should we…. (You should rise and become fully awake. Wash your face
and hands. Put some liquid in the body. Address yourself to what you are about to
do. Prepare yourself. Then seat yourself, become relaxed and contemplative.) So we
should prepare ourselves to receive in the meditation? (Yes.)

Jnana: I’ve been planning to acquire water for the members of my family and
inform them of the coming earth changes. Yet you advised Jon Paul not to plant seeds of
fear. Is this appropriate for me also? In other words, not tell them? (You must evaluate
the level of cognition of the true meaning of your intention and provision. Inasmuch
as there are few who can continue to deny the pollution of you government-provided
water, the fact that you give premium drinking water as a gift should be most
acceptable and understandable without resulting in a harvest of fear.) Thank you
very much. (For our friend, Paul, the fear is that he might not return. He must not
give his family that fear.)

Joni: The physical cleansing sounds easier than the emotional cleansing. (Oh,
indeed it is.) Is there anything specific to do for cleaning the blood stream? Is this
dietary, or is it exercise, or what? (Primarily fluids. Your blood is too thick. It is not a
matter of clotting. Do not be confused by words. You need more fluid flow to your
organism. You are full of hard spots, little plaque there and a little stir there.
Increased fluids would help. )
Is the water I’m drinking acceptable? It is not tap water. (You would do better if
you cleansed your water with pyramid before you take it.) That would be easy. Is
there anything I can do to help the itchiness I’ve been experiencing on my skin and in my
hair? (Cleansing the blood will asst this, will help relieve it. But you will find the
juice of the aloe plant very beneficial as an external application.) Wonderful. Thank
you.

Betty: Sheariam, it sounds like most of us might use that process of a tablespoon
of lemon juice and a glass full of water first thing in the morning. (Indeed, so.)

Jean: As you spoke to Joni, it sounded almost as if you could be talking to me,
but I wondered about the peroxide I drink in the morning. Is the peroxide plus the lemon
good, or what do you advise for me? And my other question is: I’m having trouble with
memory. My husband is also. That seems to be a big problem.. Can you give us any help
with this? (It would be non-beneficial to combine the lemon juice and peroxide. It
would be our suggestion to discontinue peroxide and use lemon juice. Especially for
you it would be good if you put your water and your lemon juice and some of the
lemon peel together, blend it together. You need some of the lemon oil.) You say,
discontinue the peroxide? (Yes.)
What can be done for the memory? (Lemon oil.) For both of us? (Yes.) Colin
also has Grovers disease, a skin eruption. What can be done to help that? (Some aloe.)

Joni:Is the lemon oil good for memory in general for everyone? (More or less.)
Betty: Are the lemons we buy at the grocery store all right to use? Minutemaid
has a frozen lemon juice concentrate. Is it acceptable? (The lemon concentrate is
suitable for the lemon juice, but the lemon rind needs to be cleansed with brush and
lots of water before it is used. Actually, there is a layer of tissue between the surface
and the flesh of fruit that is best.) The white part that we normally peel off? (Yes. The
center part of that nearest the skin where the oil glands are.)
Jean: And how much of that? (A quarter teaspoon of ground tissue in each
glass.)

Jon Paul: Last time when you were talking about herbs, you said that there were
perhaps a basic five or six that we should rely on. You gave us some clues. What will
most quickly heal when the skin is open and the blood comes forth? I take what you said
to be maybe comfrey. What heals a blister? Maybe aloe. What will dry, perhaps sage.
And what will moisturize, maybe chamomile. Can you give us any further thoughts on
the basic five or six that we should work with? (While it is not an herb, dried lemon
peel is a great asset to a pharmacopoeia. Grapefruit rind also has its place.)
Betty: Can you tell us in the future how to use it more clearly? In other words,
we could start collecting and drying now, and you will tell us more in the future? (We do
not wish to anticipate, for that plants a seed for manifestation.)

Jon Paul: Were you thinking primarily of garden herbs or were you thinking of wild
herbs when you were mentioning the five or six? (Garden herbs are merely domestic
species of wild ones.) So you would take it from either the wild or the domestic?
(Indeed.)
Betty: A question about that. I was also working on a list. It was hard to release
some of my friends, but we got into the thought, like dandelions, which I consider a prize
herb. Will it continue to be available after disasters, or do we need to concern ourselves
with gathering some seed for it now drawing some of the plant? (It would be wise to
gather seeds.)

Marlayna: How about garlic in terms of long-term use and for now for
benefits to our body, and also Kyolic, which is an aged garlic oil? Are both good? Does
Kyolic have special benefits? (Not in our estimation. Fresh garlic is by far the best.)
There is an herbal tea called Echinacea, of which I’ve used just the extract. Is that a
beneficial thing for our bodies? (That is one of those non-essentials which can be
beneficial but unnecessary.)

Jon Paul: Are there any immune enhancers that we should be looking at for the
immune system? We have problems with two of the plagues: AIDS and Candida. Can
you give us any insight on this? (Wild mustard.)
Jenika: For both? (Yes. Excellent cleanser of the systems, of many of the
circulatory systems.)
Owen: Would this be the foliage? (All of the mustard plant can be used in
some manner. It should be one of your pharmacopoeia.)
Jon Paul: Can it be used both fresh and dried? (Yes.)

Owen: Are there particular instructions on the construction and use of the
pyramid? (Your pyramid should be constructed in the same proportions as the
Egyptian pyramid. It can be made of any substance.) Some pyramids seem to be just a
rib structure. (Yes.) That is adequate? (Yes. It is the angle that is the imperative.) Then
cardboard is adequate? (Yes.)
Joni: And to magnetic north or true north? (Inasmuch as you are dealing with
matter, magnetic north is sufficient.)
Betty: Does that make a great deal of difference, or just the plain use? (Minute
difference.) We have been introduced to what is called “D cells” to help purify water.
Can you tell us anything about them. Do they work? Are they worth the investment in
having them around? (In our estimation, they are of little value, but great economic
advantage.)
Owen: That is to the maker? (Yes.)
Jon Paul: What about the body polarizer? Is that of any particular function? (You
initiates must come to be independent of these toys. (Laughter.)

Betty: A personal question, then, Sheariam, if there is nothing earth shaking –
pun. I’ve been seeking out group meditations as an alternative to private meditation. It
seems like each time there comes something very traumatic, and it takes me several days
to feel like I’ve stabilized my emotions afterwards. I guess I’m asking for help. Can you
give me any insights or anything that would help this situation? I find that I’m beginning
to fear trying to meditate alone.

Sheariam: Destruction of your nervous system is such that you draw to you
energies which are at liberty, having free access in your atmosphere at this time.
Your disturbance is a psychological response to the disturbing effects of these loosed
forces. For the time being it would be well if you did not attempt deep meditation,
but spend your quiet time in reflection, in contemplation of perfection. Find some
object which represents some facet of perfection to you, a piece of crystal for
instance, and reflect and contemplate upon its beauty and its emanation of light or
its reflection of light or its force field. Dwell upon those things, and do not allow
your nervous system to become disrupted by these other forces that it naturally
draws to it when you let down the defenses. If you keep your mind occupied with
thought, you defend the nervous system, because it is focused into what you are
thinking about. For you, now, that is sufficient meditation. If you allow your
contemplative mental serenity to be invaded by thoughts of worry, anxiety,
anticipation of the future, you are defeating the purpose of your quiet time.

Betty: Life has been very disrupted and continues to be with work and
everything. Is this a reflection of what’s going on in the non-physical as well? (Yes.) I’m
about ready to ask for a new contract on my life. Can I? (You can re-negotiate. Any
contract can be re-negotiated.) My life reading said that I came to learn to handle
confrontation. It seems that this has been coming faster and faster at work than ever
before. Is it something that I am doing wrong, or is this part of the pattern, or can you
give me any insight? (It is forcing you to find that center of self-confidence that you
can sustain yourself in your conviction of being in harmony, in accordance.)
It’s awfully hard to feel like you’re being OK when everybody says, “If you’re
doing it all right, everything is peaceful.” It seems like the more I try to do things right,
the less peaceful it becomes. (It is not their approval that you should be seeking. It is
your own approval and those of your unseen source. If others choose to be
disturbed, that is not your problem. You make it your problem when you respond to
that by saying, “Oh, my, I must be doing something wrong.”)
If you can give me any guidance on how to best deal with my situation at work
that is coming up, the employee changes and everything, any insights there I would
appreciate. (Self-confidence. A calm demeanor, not arrogance. Not command. Not
enforcement, but calm serene centeredness. “I Am. I know the rules. I have accepted
the rules, and you and all who work for me must accept those rules and abide by my
interpretation of them.” Do you understand?) I understand. It is very reinforcing. I
am most grateful. Thank you.

Jnana: My father is currently having some problem with his urinary tract. Is there
any advice you can give me for him? (This is a common complaint, a common
affliction now present in the male manifestation of the human Quality. It is resultant
primarily from water pollutants, body fluids which are not clear. The pollutants are
not merely nutritional, but they are also radiation. Those of you incarnate now have
chosen to subject yourselves to that. It is not always possible to reverse the effects,
because by the time the symptoms evidence, the damage is too extensive to
completely reverse. Some alleviation of pain and discomfort can be had through
certain treatments, but radical treatments only increase and enhance the damage
and the ultimate pain. Pure water and lots of it, celery, especially organically grown
celery, and celery that has been cooked in pure water, and the water drunk.)

Jean: Is the pyramid enough to purify the water? And if so, how long should a
gallon of water be left under the pyramid? (It takes 24 hours for minimal purification
of whatever quantity can be placed advantageously under the sides of the pyramid
constructed.) And is it enough? (Not if you start with totally polluted water.) But if
you start with ordinary tap water? (Which is extraordinarily polluted.)

Betty: We are making the assumption that the water Sidney can get is good water
for us to store and everything. (It is a good foundational water. It, too, can be
improved in quality by use of the pyramid power.)
The pollution we are most concerned about is not necessarily bacterial or
underground kinds of things. (That is correct. It is not all chemical.) Radiation you
mentioned as one, then. (Indeed. One of the prime.)
Jean: Can you comment more on what water we should get, where we should
get it, and how we handle it? (Since the global waters are polluted with radiation and
other side effects, your commercially prepared cleaned water, particularly distilled
water, eliminates the chemicals. It cannot eliminate the radiation, but the pyramid
can offset the radiation pollution. It is also recommended that you place an amethyst
in the container of water that you are giving pyramid treatment. That will, to the
greatest extent possible, neutralize the radiation pollution.)

Betty: Is the size, color, or clarity of the amethyst of any concern? (The clearer,
most pure, of course, is best.)
Jon Paul: Should it be cleansed from time to time after doing that with it? (Oh,
indeed.)
Betty: How cleansed, please? (In that your atmosphere is also polluted, your
best opportunity to cleanse your amethyst is on a bright sunny day when the air is
moving freely. Place it on a surface that is clean, reflectively white, and gaze upon it
with your best thoughts, your strongest thoughts of pure “I Am”.)
Owen: Should it be in the sunshine? (Indeed.)
Betty: About how long a period of time? (Dependent upon the power of your
thought. If you are highly focused, and nothing invades that consciousness, it can be
done in the twinkling of an eye. That takes pure concentration.)

Jon Paul: I have a question about my mother. She’s going to be 86 this next
Saturday. She has arthritic problems in her knees where she is not as mobile as she used
to be. She is very youthful. Is there anything of a physical nature or should it be done of a
mental nature to assist her? I was thinking herbal – something she can do? It has to do
with flexibility within her being. (It has to do with calcium. The calcium solution is
not sufficiently liquid in the blood stream, so that calcium deposit becomes the
problem, and thus the diminished flexibility. That is not to deny the place of
Consciousness and Thought, but you asked for physical remedies. Green vegetables,
of course, increased intake of vegetables high in calcium content so that the blood
stream does not demand withdrawal of the calcium from the bone, for it is the
calcium withdrawn from the bone that is most quickly deposited and becomes
spurs.)

Betty: Back to some physical help. We talked about making the celery juice. We
call it “celery soup”. We wondered a little bit about whether adding any fiber, pulverized
fiber, would be good. (No.) No? (No.) Does it help any when you use a lot of celery in
making vegetable soup or something like that? Or do we want to keep it pure and just
drink it? (The more pure you drink it, the more quickly efficient it is.) How about
quantity, proportion-wise? Do we need a lot of celery or a little bit of celery? (That is an
individual requirement. We could not generalize. But all of you would benefit from
eight ounces a day.)
Could you give us a range of how much celery to put in the water? (You should
cook the celery as though extracting its juice.)
Marlayna: Stalks and leaves? (Yes.)
Betty: With tea you sometimes just use a few leaves. I thought in terms of putting
lots of celery, but it’s not necessary then to put a lot of celery in the water? (You want
the celery juice, not celery permeated water.)

Owen: I wondered how long it should be cooked, and if excessive cooking is
going to destroy its value. (Excessive cooking does destroy. You only need to cook it
until all of the cellulose is soft enough that all of the juice can be extracted. The less
cooking the better.) I had run mine through a food processor that almost emulsifies the
whole thing. (Then it merely needs to be heated to change the molecular structure.)
Betty: Then drink that juice? (Yes.) Would a juicer do the same thing? (If you
heated it sufficiently.) Cook it and then put it through a juicer.
Marlayna: Is a pressure cooker too much heat? (Quite too much. The molecular
structure of celery is quite tender.)

Betty: Is there any other comparatively simple thing like this we could be doing?
(Cabbage.) And how should we use that? (Same way.) Cooked again, not raw.
(Cooked.)
Ida: How about celery in a blender? (Must be cooked.)

Jean: What about onions? (Raw.)

Peter: Could both the cabbage and the celery be put through the juicer and they
wouldn’t have to be cooked so much then? Is that correct? (It must be cooked
sufficiently to change the molecular structure. They should not be cooked together.)
Another question. I have trouble with my ears occasionally, not so bad lately, but
there are times when they feel stopped up. Any suggestions? (I cannot readily access
that. We will work on it.)

Jenika: I had a neck injury at work two years ago, stress and strain, and they say
that I’m medically stationary now, but I can’t believe that I have to live with this pain I
have. My neck is very tender. I have tingles now and then. Even the chiropractic
treatment and massage and hot soaks don’t help enough. Can you give me any ways that I
can work on relieving my pain? (As I examine your spinal structure, I see a
compression of the nerves at the base of the skull. If you want to relieve that
compression, one means would be to lie prone with your head hanging over the edge
of something such as a bed. Lie face down and allow the weight of the skull to pull
and relieve that compression. That should assist in the alleviation of the pain and
allow the re-growth of the nerve tissue.) And so perhaps daily? (At least.)

Jean: Can you give me any advice about my progress and particularly how to
help, or how to relate, or what to do about my daughter-in-law who is going under a great
deal of stress now. (Remember that her stress is self-imposed. Unless you are part of
her problem, do not try to be her solution.)
It seems that…. I know I’m relinquishing, and it seems that as I let go, it seems
that I’m not…. Am I just being lazy? (You are being more effective because you are
no longer doing for another person, and consequently that person must do for him
or herself. You cannot avoid your children’s scraped knees. You must allow them to
fall and pick themselves up.) That’s very hard to do. (Indeed.) You feel that you’re
being lazy and self-indulgent . (Not at all. You care. You bless them with Mercy,
Love, and Compassion. You love them with all your heart and being, but you keep
your hands in your own pockets.)

Jon Paul: Today you spoke of a multiple dimensional self as reality. Silverthistle had
told us in the retreat in the spring about this, and we got into an exercise regarding it. He
said that there is a powerful shaman living in Mexico, and that possibly I will contact
him. You said that the reason I had forestalled my trip was to allow the serendipitous to
occur. I am open to some comments on this, because I have been meditating upon it quite
a bit. (Do not set up a scenario, for that will prevent the serendipitous. But on a hot,
very dusty road there will be one who appears to be self-contained, who may not
welcome your approach. Without being invasionary, stay near until that one
approaches you. Then you will know.)
Does this have anything to do with the psychometry reading that Gloria Ruth gave
me about that particular road? (Yes.) That she saw. So I’ll know the road within my
mind’s eye. (You will be there, and then you will recognize it, déjà vu, it is called.)

Betty: Sheariam, I have two more questions. After I asked the group to help with
Roger and the farm home, Roger asked for the help with it. I feel that we have become
more centered and more confident of self and also willing to release. After this time I am
becoming more and more aware of the pain of other farmers and what they’re going
through and the entire agriculture economy. I continue to send Mercy, Love, and
Compassion whenever this comes to my awareness, and I’ve asked others. Is there
anything more that you could comment on? The information we have is that, as far as the
government is concerned, they want half the farms to even go out of business. (Your
tobacco lobbyists have brought this into being, and if the farmers would stop
thinking about themselves individually and work collectively to offset the tobacco
lobby, there would be plenty of federal funds to resolve the farmers’ dilemma, even
to creating new cooperatives. The farmers must formulate these cooperatives if, not
only this nation, but all of this continent, is not to experience great starvation.)
OK. I hear you. I believe I comprehend and understand what you’re saying. What
can I do now? (Talk to people who are also in your position. You belong to such a
coop organizement. It is not to organize, but to talk, to raise consciousness, to open
awareness to what is needed. There are leaders available, but they cannot lead until
they have cooperation. They must be asked.)
Would the Ecumenical Council be one place to plant this thought? (Certainly.)
Can we send Mercy, Love and Compassion from this group? Can I ask this group for
