On Character and Power 6/30/10
In a recent discussion we talked of how reincarnation occurs in families and groups. The Ego has a definitive goal in creating such a situation rather than merely tossing a personality into some particular environment for a singular mission. As earth dwellers are particularly designed to work out the ramifications of the Law of Dominance, power, its promulgation, development and use is best accomplished through a family or group. Remember Ego has very limiting boundaries within which to function so is required to make the most efficient use of its opportunities. As earth dwellers you are well aware that group energy and will are much stronger than the individual’s energy and will. As personalities incarnate with each other they mingle their energies and talents to make a whole greater than the sum of its parts. In that the Ego’s creations are subject to the forces of construction and destruction, and any one personality’s span of years on earth is very short, let it be noted that any given effort will have three identifiable conditions. Let us say, for instance, that the Ego’s goal is to build power for one of the Existences. Necessary character traits are defined for achieving this goal. Ego reaches into the higher realms of Soul, Spirit, Mind, etc. gathering together the required bits and pieces provided by previous incarnations of various entities which have been stored for such future use. Some of these bits and pieces may be quite refined and developed. Others may be raw and inexperienced. Then Ego chooses the type of group or family which it wants to use for the building of the desired power. Let us say, as our example, Ego chooses to use the boundaries of Construction and Destruction, Harmony and Conflict as its arena of action. So it puts together personalities of leadership, cooperation, accommodation, submission, loyalty and so forth and designs a family situation. By searching the lineage of its previous creations, it chooses a racial code, a locale, physical orientation, economic status, and all the matters that comprise a unit of human earth dwellers. These choices can only go so far. They can only be the raw materials from which the family dynamic will work out its destiny and shape its own fate. Ego cannot pre-determine the outcome. It can only put together the necessary ingredients that have the propensity to evolve into that which will fulfill the Ego’s goal. Much of these ingredients you call “character”. Like someone baking a cake, the end product will only be as good as the ingredients that go into it. Then those ingredients are subjected to an environment of container shape, size and material, put into a heating device and depending on the functioning of all the properties, ingredients, container and environment, the cake turns out fluffy, moist and delicious, or flat, sticky and gooey. And so a family is designed, a lineage selected and Entities set forth to find the bodies that can best house and nurture the characteristics gathered. Thus it is necessary for the various Entities to find related bodies in order to sustain the desired lineage. If an Entity is unable to acquire a body of direct lineage for reasons cited previously, but its time has come for incarnation, the search for a body will continue until such a body is found that will permit or at least has every potentiality of being able to join the family unit as a friend, neighbor, co-worker, etc. As the family expands by generation, and its power and influence grow, the degree to which it fulfills the Ego’s goal determines how long that constructive thrust will last. For our example, let us give our family the thrust of political ambition. The Ego begins with a personality that has determination, strong goal orientation, physical strength and ingenuity. This personality draws to itself another of the Ego’s created personalities for a mate. Together they produce a group of bodies which Ego can assign to other of its entity-personalities to forward the Ego’s project. Let us also say at this point that the Ego’s project is primarily to make contributions to the first four Existences, Happy, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. So the primary pair are not only solidly family oriented, they make choices through which they will be able to make contributions to these Existences, but not to equal degree for each Existence. One personality may contribute more to Happy and another more to Wealth, and so forth. But all of these contributions grow out of the performances of the personalities as they strive to build power and influence. Some of the progeny will enter politics at a low level and work up the ladder even to the highest level of its land. Others may take auxiliary roles and support the main players. Some may take on the role of teacher so that others may grasp and understand the principles of government. Along the way, some may come to fame. Others may work behind the scenes. Others may take on the role of administration of the family fortunes or merely work at some low-level job in the organization. Some may leave the family organization but pursue an independent career in the political arena. Your imagination can fill in the blanks. Perhaps, it is necessary for a different locale than the one into which birth has occurred due to the lineage requirements. So there may be migration from one locale to another. Given that our example is based on a political thrust, the family, or at least the early pair, immigrate to a fairly-new country where political opportunity is greater. Later as power and influence grow, some members of the family unit may take up residence in other countries, but still in the arena of politics. And so the parental pair work hard, live thriftily, produce children, and gather material possessions. They educate their young, choose economic courses that put them into the stream of politics and happily hold great anticipation for the success of their progeny. The children grow up healthy and happy, making their contribution to the Existences in their own carefree manner. The parents enjoy the companionship of common goals and the comfort of union. It is in the nature of earth dwelling creatures to not only desire but actually require the association of like kind. It is part of the design of your planet earth that community is necessary to the flourishing of any creature. Without the warmth, comfort and closeness of other living things, earth creatures often not only decline but utterly fail. And so our family grows, acquiring association with other personalities who are also part of the Ego’s plan. Each member of the family grows according to its own character, formulating its own goals and making its own plans, but not always in accordance with the original plans of the parents. Remember that where there is Construction, there is also Destruction. As the family members grow into their own niche of power and influence, competition arises, conflicts continue which may have begun in early childhood. Overall the family may have distinguished itself in public office, successful commercial enterprise, and social status. But the seeds of Destruction, lying dormant perhaps for many years, sooner or later begin to sprout and grow. As the forces of Destruction work, some members of the family group may succumb to arrogance, egotism, misuse of power, even going so far as to committing anti-social behavior which could be considered criminal according to the laws of the land. As this occurs the family group’s power and influence begin to diminish. This could happen over several generations, or it could happen even in only one generation. It could be that Ego, Itself, has planted the seeds of disintegration as part of its overall plan. As an earth dweller, a personality would not necessarily know this. Depending upon the character of the personality, that individual might fight mightily to overcome its disintegration propensity. The degree of success of this effort depends greatly on the degree of power developed by the personality. Even if a personality is not personally possessed of disintegrating factors, it is subject to the forces of disintegration found in the overall family group, and also from the pressures of the larger group of which the family is a part, such as social groupings, economic standards, political parties on up through the government of the country in which the family lives. So what does all of this have to do with you individually? It is all well and good that you have some idea of how power is built, disintegrates and disappears, but to what end does this serve you? It does not unless you can apply some of this knowledge to yourself. In your own life you have had the experience of friends coming into your life and leaving your life. It is seldom that any relationship continues for an entire life span, and this is also sometimes true of the biological relationship. Such a lifetime relationship occurs only occasionally in the overall human experience. Such associations are to be treasured, for they are a great source of your personal power. Even family members who are bound by the conventions of “family”, drift apart or become alienated from each other. Some members of a family may seem determined to destroy other members out of what seems to be sheer meanness, but is usually out of jealousy. Don’t forget the shadow side of being. Sometimes these issues are side products of the main recipe designed by Ego, and have their place in the development of the family structure of power and influence. What alliances have you made to further your own sphere of power and influence? Every individual personality has its own sphere, but that sphere stems from the group of which it is a part. Are you a fully functioning member of your family group? Or perhaps you have chosen some other kind of group to comprise your family? Only you can answer these questions for yourself. Yes, you may say you do not want power, but that is a manifest untruth. There is always something within you that causes you to seek the power to fulfill it, no matter how humble that may be. The point here is that it is group that gives individual power. It is for you to find what kind of and how much power you wish to develop and when that idea is pretty well formed in your mind, you will find the personalities necessary to making up the proper group magnetically drawn to you. You do not have to go out and seek them. You don’t even have to make yourself available. If it is in Ego’s interest to see your ambitions fulfilled, it will provide the personalities necessary for that fulfillment whether that ambition is constructive or destructive, even to the point of having strangers seek you out on some other pretext. Only you can make that choice to have the power. You already have the will to find the power. Choose your goal and go forward to the idea and the reality will find you. Here is a good place to give you a warning, however. The Universe has a secret that few earth dwellers seem to be aware of. The more tightly you hold on to a material thing, a person or whatever, the more surely that will be what the Universe targets as payment when it chooses to balance things out. For now, go your way in blessedness and peace.
