The Wealthy Existence of Self 5/25/10

The Wealthy Existence of Self has little to do with the accumulation and
use of money as you now know it. Money is simply a medium of exchange. The
aggregation of that medium leads to having power, and that leads to corruption.
The Wealthy Existence was created by Intention as a means through which the
Self could learn and earn its place in its world with relationship to others. Money,
in itself, gives one a false position. It does not give character, charisma,
application of skill, or achievement of higher goals.
As an earth dweller learns to interact with his environment and the people
who occupy it, he comes into the limits of the power his character permits him
during any particular short span of years. The Self may spend many such spans
before it fully accomplishes its growth into the Wealthy Existence. The truly
wealthy person can produce anything it wants. So long as you believe it takes
money to obtain what you want, so long it will take money to do so. Your biggest
and best bank is the Universe, itself, for it contains everything you could ever
want.
True wealth is found in myriad places. Under the Law of Dominance,
anyone who fully commands his space is wealthy. This may take the form of
family, friends, occupation, appreciation, sincerity and integrity. The first demand
of wealth is to be honest with yourself. Most earth dwellers go through their lives
deceiving themselves about themselves, and consequently their view of earthly
reality is distorted. Real wealth lies in seeing truth, no matter what form it takes.
Only through seeing truth can you truly exercise power. All the money in the
world would not serve you in your efforts if you cannot be truthful with yourself.
Appearances are deceiving. Believe only your own truth. Someone may
have the wherewithal to buy and sell you in their terminology, but that is not true
unless you make it true. As long as you remain true to yourself, no money in the
world can buy or sell you. You may say, “It can buy my time, or my skills, or my
expertise.” But this is not true. It can only buy the use of them. They remain
yours. It is your choice to let another use your time, skills or expertise. When you
make a contract with someone to use your time, skills and expertise for their
benefit, it is by your choice. [Editorial Note: Even if it appears that you have no
choice in a situation, you have brought yourself to that situation through your
choices, and the situation is there for your learning and karmic fulfillment.] If you
do not want to do that, look for other options. The fact that you can look for other
options is, in itself, a form of wealth. The Self in its Wealthy Existence lives totally
on its own terms.
Then you ask, “Where does compromise, force, submission and
oppression come into play.” That’s a fair question. In your current earth
civilization, the group known as humankind, has created circumstances where
these things are in play all of the time. They will remain in play until such time as
the majority of Selfs that make up humankind grow into their Wealthy Existence,
and that can only happen if each of you work at doing so every day of your life.
When everyone is equally wealthy, the use of power is lost, and the Law of
Dominance is overcome and replaced.
Humankind even now has created enough pollution in earth’s atmosphere
that individuals are beginning to be required to pay for pure air. People with
breathing problems rent or buy machines that produce enough oxygen to sustain
their life. Individually you can move your earthly lives toward the wealth of good
air in many ways which I need not describe here. There are among you those
who are sensitive to such issues and scientists who are working toward
improving conditions on earth.
As you have been made aware many times, thoughts have creative
power, and every thought you give toward improving the life quality on your
planet adds to the wealth of the Self. Of course, physical efforts are not to be
overlooked either. Every tree you plant, every conservation of natural resources
effort, every non-toxic product you purchase, adds to the improvement of your
planetary life. The greater such efforts, the wealthier the planet. The wealthier the
planet, the wealthier the individuals who live on it. The more you see your forests
as wealth in themselves and not in the lumber they produce, the more you add to
the Wealthy Existence. The more you use your personal power for the
improvement of planetary life as well as your individual life, the more you
individually add to the Wealthy Existence of the Self that gives rise to you.
The individual who is truly conscious of contributing to the Wealthy
Existence of Self will devote his energies, skills, expertise, and experience to
accumulating only that amount of money that is necessary to sustain a standard
of living that is happy and healthy. Excess is corruptive and wasteful. Of what
use are multiple mansions situated throughout the world? You can only live in
one at a time. Is opulence necessary? Does it add to the wealth of the planet?
No. The wealth of the planet is added to by the thoughtful efforts of people who
care about each other, about the future of mankind, about the maintenance of the
earth no matter it is a temporary home for a short span of years.
Accumulation of property and goods adds burdens of responsibility.
Obtaining and keeping only what you can use is the wiser course of action. You
have been told many times that your needs will always be filled. This is true to
the extent that you believe and trust that it will be so. Your Source cannot provide
for you if you refuse to be provided for. And when it comes your turn, you then
share with others as an instrument of filling their needs. Having a surplus to
share is part of being wealthy. Having a surplus stored in a vault is poverty.
Real wealth for humankind on planet earth lies in relationships. You may
believe that a relationship just happens. You meet someone by “accident”. Every
encounter has meaning, and what you make of that encounter adds or subtracts
from your storehouse of wealth. A smile exchanged, a cheery word or a gesture
of encouragement adds to your wealth.
Wealth for the Wealthy Existence is built by building relationships. While
encounters may seem to just happen, an ongoing relationship needs to have
constant attention. Your true wealth in this earthly life lies in the strength and
quality of your relationships. Staying in a relationship for the sake of longevity,
guilt, or moral rectitude, is of little value. What is of value is the effort you put into
making a relationship one of joy, uplift, and richness. If everyone who puts in a
full day of labor for his pay would put as much effort into his relationships, he
would be wealthy indeed.
The last point I would wish to make is that you actually do not own
anything. Whatever you have, home, automobile, clothing, furnishings,
equipment, even money, all are only on loan to you. All materiality belongs to the
Universe. It is only yours to use for a while. When it wears out or is no longer of
use, it becomes recycled by the Universe. When the Universe determines it is no
longer to be used by you it disappears, sometimes by theft, sometimes by loss,
sometimes simply by mysterious means which you never determine. Do not
mourn what appears to be loss, for the Universe will not permit a void. When
something is taken from you, something better is put in its place. You will not
always recognize that something new is better than what you have lost. It is your
responsibility to find that determination. Finding that determination adds to the
Wealthy Existence.
We cannot emphasize too strongly the importance of appreciation. In
appreciating your materiality, you increase its value and add to your wealth
contribution. Do not be afraid to vocally express your appreciation to what
appears to be inanimate such as a particular garment you like, or a machine that
performs well for you. Remember that Devas love to receive compliments and
expressions of appreciation, and everything has a Deva. And do not forget that
people need appreciation. Do not give false compliments. If you are not sincere,
it is of no use. It behooves you to look for what you can appreciate even in
persons for whom you care little, or think even to despise.
So I leave you with these thoughts and wish you well in all your efforts. Go
in peace.
