Seven Existences of Self 5/1/10
Gloria: Could you give me a definition of this, or some kind of explanation,
please?

Teacher: Of course. Since this is a concept beyond the scope of your available
language, I will have to explain this by analogy to something you know.
When a Degree Candidate matriculates at an institution of learning, there is a
specific course of instruction required to be successfully completed and judged
according to certain standards which are set by a Board of Education.

Let us equate the institution of learning to the Intention that gave rise to a human
being whom we will equate to the Degree Candidate. The Intention that gave rise
to this particular individual has at the same time established a required course of
experience and the individual has the responsibility to fulfill these requirements to
the degree that he does not have to repeat the experience. Just as the Degree
Candidate is judged qualified to receive his Degree, so is an individual judged as
to whether or not he has sufficiently fulfilled his responsibility and can receive the
reward given by the Intention. The goal of these requirements is to develop the
Self to a state of perfection. This cannot be accomplished through the efforts of
one personality, and in some cases even takes the efforts of several entities.

Now you may wander, struggle, bumble or float through a life span of years
without knowing your responsibility in this regard, but your very experience adds
to the accumulated accomplishment of the Intention’s requirements. However,
living your life in accordance with the guidelines we have given you, and in the
awareness of your responsibility to the Intention that brought you into being,
enables you to contribute to a greater degree the kind of experience that will fulfill
the requirements.

Another analogy which might assist you is to regard the existences as rooms in a
dwelling. You usually live in one room at a time, but live in all of them sometimes.
At the same time, your presence and energies persist even in rooms you are not
physically occupying. The more you fill up the rooms of this dwelling with your
furnishings, decorations, and enjoyment of the activities experienced there, the
greater your achievement can be.

Still another analogy that exists simultaneously is that of your banking industry. If
you deposit funds into a savings account, the banking institution pays you a
reward in the form of interest. While the banking institution holds your money, it
uses that money to make more money for itself, and the interest it pays you is a
portion of that money it has made while holding your funds. In the same way
Intention rewards you.

As you deposit experience, Intention uses that experience for others and gives
you back “interest” which increase the value of your original deposit, so you gain
more than you initially earn. So you see how important it is to be aware of what
you are doing, how you are doing it, and what you do with the experience you
gain.

Have I made this matter clear enough for you? Do you have any further question
at this time?

Gloria: Yes, I understand what you have said, and it helps a great deal in
comprehending what the Seven Existences of Self means. May I ask who you
are?

Teacher: You do not recognize the intellect of Sheariam? It is I. And it is with
great delight that I find this communication with you possible. Thank you for
inviting us back.
