Session #24 - October 1, 1983
Gloria’s Circle

Present: Bonnie Wisz, LaMar and Reta Bell, Myra Perala, Larry and Eileen
Horton, Jean Chisholm.

Sheariam: Good evening students and friends. How are you all tonight? Have
you worked upon your assignments? Let me hear them, then.

Bonnie: I got to the well, and I just jumped right up on top of it. It just felt great,
and I dove in. The jewels or precious stones were in there. I was kind of like a fish, and I
just wanted to look down into them, and just be right in them. I did that, and then I came
out. They were just kind of stuck on my skin. Then all the people came by me and I gave
each one of them a stone. They all just walked by. Then I just got up on the well again,
and I just felt great.

Sheariam: Did you recognize any of the people? (Bonnie: No.) Of course, your
experience is quite self-evident. I’m sure you understand. As we discussed before,
the gems represent the mineral resources of this planet, and thus they represent the
spiritual resources of yourself as a spiritual being.
The fact that you now find it possible to dive into the well shows that there is
opening within your understanding that capacity that enables you then to jump into
life whole-heartedly, to actually experience first hand the resources within yourself.
As you experience them, then you manifest them. The evidence of this is when you
give those gifts to others. Do you understand? (Bonnie: Yes.)
Very beautiful. Keep on working with that. As you meet the people that come
by you, the people at the well, you will begin to identify members of your source,
those who form the Source of your being, those who guide and protect, also the ones
that you serve. In this way, you will come to know the name, or one of them will call
you by your name. (Turning to Myra) Now you said that you had worked on yours?

Myra: Yes, I did, the very next morning. I had a wonderful time. I went into the
silence. Instantly I was in a woods of Douglas fir and pine woods a long way away from
everywhere. It’s an old-fashioned well. It has a very squeaky hand pump. This is a pump
that goes to a mineral spring. It is really a soda-water spring. This spring has apparently
been a mecca for people to go to for help, to go and drink the water, or go and bathe in
the water, a bubbling, sparkling drink of life.
I noisily prime the pump to bring up its bounty. I held a plastic cup I brought with
me to catch this gift of God from this eternal spring. The crisp pure air surrounding us
enveloped the woody glen where there were picnic tables around. There were just a few
people there, two children, a boy and a little girl about ten years old. They were riding
bicycles on a hard-packed trail. It was a lovely park that had been purposely kept in an
undeveloped state, but the trails were hard-packed.
The children wouldn’t take it this way, though. They didn’t like it because they
said it was “funny tasting”, which it was. My first taste startled me, because I’d expected
the same soft Bull Run water that we here in Portland have been drinking. So, when I
first tasted the water, I could only take just a little sip of it before I grimaced. Then I
sampled the water again, and I steeled myself and took a big gulp of it and found it to be
surprisingly tastier. As the icy hot stuff drained down my gullet, I felt a rush of
excitement and a sudden exuberation. I imbibed the entire contents of my cup and could
feel the radiation moving towards to the outer parts of my hands and feet. Oh, what an
uplift it was.
I began to consider a second draught, but I decided I couldn’t deal with more than
just one right now. So, I turned and walked away. I looked back and my husband was
drinking his toast to health. The pump was covered with a four-sided pyramidal, mossy
roof. There were four open sides with wooden posts about twelve inches square that held
up this sturdy roof. There were three steps that went down to the pump. These were
wooden, moss covered. There wasn’t a lot of tracking through there. The square was
probably about six feet, and there were rocks all around the top. There were huge forty
foot fir trees all around. It was a wonderful memory to treasure.

Sheariam: Now you must realize that this experience was a true reality for you.
While it is not a physical manifestation in its exact replica, it is physically manifest
in its symbology. However, in another reality it is as physically manifest in that
reality as it might be in this one. Obviously, the connotation of the soda water is that
of the effervescent spirit, the spirit that wells within you as you investigate the
resources of your own spiritual self.
There are a couple of other elements I would comment upon: the children
riding bicycles, for instance. Bicycles symbolize balance. And so, you see a child
likeness in this life which adds balance to your adult life. The fact that you saw your
husband when you looked back is indicative of the effect your husband has upon
your spiritual life, his role in your becoming an actualized spiritual being.
The trees, as has been commented on before, represent the aspiration
towards the God-life. The rocks around the well represent, of course, the hardships
you have encountered in your life, particularly as you have related to your husband
and his peculiar problems, and the other problems that you have had as a result of
the family created between the two of you.
You must continue with this meditation. It is important that you see other
people coming to the well. You, too, will meet your Source people, your guides, your
helpers, your healers. Do continue. You are doing very well. (Myra: I will.) Now is
there anyone else?

Eileen: Yes, I finally had a visualization, but it wasn’t as complete. The first thing
that I saw was this building. It was almost like an adobe building with a tile roof.
Completely around it were oleander flowers that were very lovely pink and white
flowers. There were no windows in the building. As I walked past it there was a woods to
one side of the building, and I walked into it. It was very dark. The trees were dense and
the woods were shady dark, very heavy shade.
There was a well in the woods. It was a round stone well with a little roof on it. It
seemed like there was a bucket sitting beside the well. I picked up a dipper. It looked like
it was brand new, but it was black. I dipped it into the water. The water was white and
very sparkly. I started to raise it to my lips, and then I just came out of it. And that’s all I
saw.

Sheariam: You have made an excellent beginning. There are many elements in
this meditation that speak of your sense of confinement, of certain rigidities that
need to have the light let in. The windowless building establishes the feeling of life’s
strictures as though you cannot see out. There are no windows. The black dipper
also demonstrates a sense of some darkness within, which needs to be cleared out.
The absence of people and the fact that the meditation was not truly completed
shows that you need to do some more work on it. But you have made a good
beginning.

Larry: I tried it again. First thing that came to my mind was to go back and count
all the different wells that I know of. And I could see quite a few, but I couldn’t count.
There’s one at a home. I stop, and the gentleman living there alone is named Unsell.
Nobody cares for him because of his beard and living alone. He owns too much property
around where I was born.
The thing that came to my mind was that so many times I wanted to talk to this
man, get his permission, or just generally ask him a few questions. Although I was
looking at the different wells, the message came to me: here was a man that I should
have made some kind of an effort to communicate with, but I was too young. Also, I had
the reason that you do not talk to people we call strangers unless they are related, or
through the church, or some way like this.
But I was beginning to realize that for many years, this same vision has been
coming to me. I should have talked to this man. I should have broke away and gone over
to his porch this one particular day when it was hot and just talk to him. There would
have been something for me that would have been a big help if I had, but I let it go by. I
still think and kick myself for not breaking the ties and going in and talking to him. I
would have had to go out of the street, through a gate, to a path to his home. That’s all it
would take.
All these different wells I was looking at, I still looked into the depth and there is
something in there which is dark and I’m afraid of. Those are the ones I actually look
into. I can still get the same feeling. It’s dark and I’m afraid of them.

Myra: You’re afraid of falling in? Larry: No. Just something in there.
Myra: Something that might come out and get you, you mean?
Larry: No. Just something down there I just can’t explain. It doesn’t
communicate. It’s not a form of body or ghost or anything like that, but there’s a feeling I
get that it’s bad. It’s dangerous, and it’s dark. But what I really got out of it was going
back to Mr. Unsell where I should have talked to him. I was a kid I imagine around ten or
twelve years old at that time.

Sheariam: Now even though your visualization or fantasy, of your wish, actually
has to do with something you have experienced in this life, the fact that your mind
goes to that image is important. The mind always reveals itself. Whatever you bring
to mind in these kinds of efforts is important for your information. It is to give you a
message.
In this instance, the old man represents something that your own spiritual
self has been trying to tell you, but for whatever reason of training, you have turned
away from it. The fact that there seems to be something frightening at the bottom of
the well shows that there are things in your life that you wish not to look at, that you
are fearful of knowing about.
As you have been given before, healing can be had even without researching
these dark recesses of the mind. You can bless that unknown. You can put lights
down into the well. In that way, you can rid yourself of this fear and allow healing to
come into you.
The very fact that you understand that as a child it would have been well to
go against your training and speak to the old man shows that even now you know
that you should go to the spiritual guide, that you should break old concepts, cast off
old rigid, oppressive thoughts and training. Do you understand? (Larry: Yes, I do.
Thank you.) You’re welcome.

Jean: The well I remember was capped by a pump in the house of Kremme, a brick
house that was next to where I lived as a child. Sunshine fills the room, and Kremme is
there. She’s told me that my mother has died. I drink the water, and it’s cold. It fills me
with sadness and at the same time with strength. Then I walk far, far away.
When I look back, all is gone of those two little farm houses in the space
surrounded by desert. Now, when I look back, there is a road. The houses and the well
are gone. There are deep muddy tire marks and just a kind of a loading place. I’m outside
in a warm world with Collin and many others. I feel great sadness that those two little
houses are gone, and the brick house, and the well, and the wooden house next door that
had a cistern on top so that the water would run in the house. I had not thought of
Kremme or the house of my birth for a long time.
The other well that I thought of was at my house at River road. One well had a
pump capping it, and we pumped water into the back porch, and that’s what we used. On
either side were wells covered, one with a board, and we knew not to play there. The
other was under the house and was rather mysterious as we’d pass by it to go into the dirt
cellar. The dirt cellar was kind of nice to go down into. It was a poor house, and not very
happy people lived in it: my brother and me, my aunt and uncle, and my grandmother
and grandfather.
But I didn’t know I was poor. I had my beautiful doll and my teddy bear, Teddy
John, and a chestnut tree full of prickly burs that covered the nuts, and the little things
that came out looked like elves. I had all kinds of fantasies as I layed in my bed very
close to the eaves of the roof. I could only stand in the middle of the room, and I was too
old to accommodate more than the bottom drawers to my black walnut dresser. The steep
stairs leading to it were a passage to my secret world.
Then the picture changed, and I was in a castle looking down at a well in the
courtyard. I looked at it, but I didn’t go down to it. Then I was in the woods, and there
was a well with banks up around it. I went toward it, and there were trees around it. Then
it changed. It was not a well but a very cold stream coming down from Mt. Adams. There
were flowers on both sides, and it was very bold. It was a very good and a very beautiful
spot.

Sheariam: There is a great deal of symbology here to be interpreted. We will not
discourse on all of it, but this experience evidences several different phases in your
life and development. Early in life the well was capped as though certain things were
hidden and must not be released except under specific circumstances such as the
pump that pumps the water out.
Then as you go to the last image, you find yourself free because you are no
longer going towards a well but towards a stream. I would ask that you work on a
single image. That is, develop a well which you actually to go and observe what is
there. Then leave and look back over your shoulder so that we can stay within the
connotation of the lesson that we are delivering at this time. If you will accept that,
please?
Now, let us get on with the rest of the business of tonight, for we have much
to cover. There are two specific things which I wish to discuss with you tonight. In
working with the laws of I Am and I Will, you have been given names of Archangels
upon which to call. Tonight I would like to introduce to you a concept of sound. You
have been told repeatedly that your words create, that your thoughts create, that
there is power in sounds.
So, before we go on, we will take the names of Khamael and Gabriel and
examine why it is necessary that you pronounce these names in the way they were
given to you. The “kha” sound, the “kh” of Khamael, represents the Inner Fire of
God as it is shadowed. That is to say that it is only a shadow of the real thing, while
to you, and to me, and to many realms the Divine Fire is almost beyond our
conceiving. Yet it is only a shadow of the God Fire in The Absolute. So, this is the
meaning of the “kh” sound, the shadow of the real.
The “ah” sound speaks of that shadow of The Absolute Fire as it is manifest
in spirit. It is the Inner Force, the Inner Glow, of the Divine Fire.
The “mm” sound is the sound of synthesis, of power, of putting many
different things together. When the “ah” sound then is changed to “aaa” (long a), as
in Kha-may-el, the Inner Fire, the Inner Force, becomes the power of mastery. Then
the name is finished with the final sound of “el” which means “the light”.
So, we have the Divine Fire, which is only a shadow of the God Fire, which
has become, then, an Inner Force which brings in synthesis, an Inner Power, which,
as it is manifest, becomes mastery. Mastery manifests in light. So, when you say the
word “Kha-may-el”, you are saying all of these things.
You see, we gave you the meaning of Khamael as being “heat at the core.”
Can you now understand what the essence of this is? The representation? So, when
you are using these sounds, be aware of what the sounds are bringing for you.

Myra: When you come to the realization that it is time for you to express the
sound, is it more valuable to say it out loud than to do it mentally?

Sheariam: It’s perfectly all right to do it mentally. You cannot say it verbally
without a thought preceding it, but as you say it out loud, you are adding the power
of the throat chakra.

Myra: So it is more powerful to do it verbally then? (Sheariam: Of course it is.)
I say it in the morning when I wake up, and I think I’ll start saying it out loud. (That
would be well.)

Sheariam: Are there any other questions? (Jean: Am I pronouncing it right –
Khamael?) (That is correct.)

Eileen: I’d like to ask a question. We are told to say “Khamael” when we want
healing power?

Sheariam: I think there has been a misconception. When I began these lessons
with you, I said to you that before we could go on with the seven laws of creation, it
would be imperative that you have whole bodies. We began with the first two of the
nine laws because it is through these two being misused that you have developed
insufficient vehicles.
When you come to understand how the first two laws are to be invoked, you
will bring your bodies into the perfected pattern. But these are not the only ones
that you would call upon for healing, but they are the primary ones. They also shall
be called upon for many other things, not solely for healing the body. Does that
help?

Eileen: I was wondering. I have really been working on this the past week with
affirmations and what we talked about last time. I’ve called upon Khamael and Gabriel,
mainly with the idea of healing. So far, I haven’t seen any results. Is this something that
is going to take some time?

Sheariam: How long has it taken you to get into the shape you are now in?
(Eileen: I had a feeling you’d say that. That’s what I more or less feel. It is going to take
time. I’ll just keep going at it, but I was wondering if there was something wrong in me
that this was not being responsive.)

Sheariam: It is not just the calling upon the name that you must do. That is why I
went through quite a lot of discussion about how to express “I Am” and “I Will”.
You must learn to reign in your thoughts. You must learn to speak your language
correctly. It’s one thing to ask for repair. It’s another to continue to create
imperfection.
If you should call on Khamael or Gabriel with one breath, and then turn
around and re-create the situation in the next breath, you will never know whether
or not you were healed.

Eileen: I know I’ve slipped a good number of times, but I’ve tried to work hard to
keep the positive. I’ll keep trying.

Sheariam: You will find that you will see results. If you give this an earnest trial
for about ninety days of your time, you will find a difference. In some you will find a
complete healing of whatever it is you are working on. But it took you time to get
there. Outside of a miracle, which is not impossible, but outside of a miracle, it is
going to take some time to get back into the perfect pattern. Remember you are
dealing not only with imperfections that you have created this life span, but also
imperfections that you have brought from other life spans.
You can do something about it. We promised you. We do not come to you in
vain. We do not ask of you the impossible. We are not going to delay the lessons
until such time as all of you are perfected beings. That would be rather futile.

LaMar: I have experienced this. I know that it works. I have sometimes, in the last
few days, wondered if I can call upon Khamael or Gabriel too much. Is there a limit to
how much a person should call upon them.

Sheariam: There is not limit to how much you can expect in the way of help. The
Principles, the Laws, the Attributes of which Khamael and Gabriel are
characterizations are non-judgmental. They are eternal. They are forever. They
cannot be used up. You cannot use them too much.
But you can offset the help you get by re-creating the problem. You know
that in just mundane matters, even when you know what is the best thing to do, or
say, or think, you do not always do that. That is by way of being a human being in
the physical manifestation. We do not expect you all to don your robes of light and
go on beyond us. We are working on the same thing that we are teaching you. As
you succeed in your efforts, we gain in our efforts. That is why it is important to us.
That is why we lend our energies to teaching. That is why we are so eager to come to
you. (LaMar: It is greatly appreciated. Another: It sure is.) Thank you.
Shall we go now to Gabriel? The guttural “G” sound is the sound that
expresses radiation, the going out, the active expulsion. Again, you come to the “ah”.
That is that Divine Fire made personal into an Inner Force. Then the “B” sound has
the meaning of extremities, or the going to the utmost. The “R” sound is
representative of the “head” faculty, the director, the organizer, that which ties in to
Divine Order, if you will. The “E” sound is the sound of the Inner Force expressing
itself. It’s a sound of power. And, of course, you have the final vowel, the final
syllable, “EL”, meaning Light. And so, you have “Gah-bree-ell”. It is important that
you not say “Gay-bree-ell.” It’s “Gah-bree-ell.”

Myra: A few moments ago you said “Gah-bray-ell”. (Sheariam: That may have
been the way it came out. Remember, we have some degrees here.) (Further
discussion with the same result.) If you mispronounce it what would happen? You
wouldn’t make your connection then?

Sheariam: It’s possible that the connection would not be made as strongly. It
would not have as much power. Some words, when the sounds are not strung
together in the way that the thought wants to be expressed, causes confusion in the
communications system. It’s difficult to explain how this happens, but, for instance,
in the ocean the water in the wave that reaches the beach is not the same
congregation of drops of water which were in the swell that started a long ways
from the beach. The motion of waves is kinetic. Energy is moved from one unit to
the next. Thus, a cork will remain geographically in the same place for a long time,
even though the waves may move by it. Do you understand that? (Affirmative
response.) The same way thought and words go forth. It’s the same action. Thus, if
the kinetic action is confused, the message doesn’t reach the right destination.

Myra: (Tape change caused some words to be missed.) …some personal
interaction with someone, and see the habits that you’ve developed over the years coming
out of your mouth. I’ve really tried to change my way of speaking since we’ve been
talking about it. Sometimes I feel like I’m not as, or able to be as, -- I started to say
“forceful” because I don’t like what I used to say. So, I come out a little bit sort of wishy
washy or something. I’m working through this pattern of…

Sheariam: This is exactly what we expect. That is one reason why you have been
given Khamael and Gabriel to help you through this time of confusion.

LaMar: Several years ago I set about to follow the five-day mental diet of Emmet
Fox. There are several of them. There is the ten-day mental diet, and the two-week
mental diet. I’ve laughed uproariously sometimes at the idea breaking down all of these
habits we’ve learned over the past centuries in five days, or ten days, or two weeks.
Comments: You have to start somewhere… It gets you on the road of actually thinking
about it... You’ve got to take a journey with the first step... What other people do affects
us... And the way other people talk also affects us.

Sheariam: That brings up our second topic. There is not only those conditions
brought into life by your declaration of “I Am” or “I Will”. There are also those
conditions which you accept by consent. When someone says to you, “You are
(whatever it is they may be saying)”, and you accept it, then you are making the
declaration, “Yes, I am that.” This is the assignment for your thought processes for
the coming few weeks.
Examine how many times you consent to what other people put into your
lives. Now some of this is good, and some of it is not so good. Awareness is going to
make the difference for you. Now you cannot stop another person from saying,
“You are…” or “You will…” to you. But you can say to yourself, “I do not accept
that. I do not give my consent.” You can also make a contrary affirmation. If
someone says to you, “You are fat”, you can say “I am slender.” (Comment: Even if
you’re not?) Inside every fat person lives a slender one.

Myra: I went to my doctor about four years ago, and he told me I had an
incurable arthritic condition. I said, “I’m not coming back to see you. I’m not going to
keep arthritis. I’m getting rid of it right now.” And I’ve worked on that for years. I just
say, “It’s not mine. I don’t need it.” (Sheariam: There is nothing in the human
condition that is incurable. Do not accept that.)
LaMar: I spent several years telling the doctors eyeball to eyeball, “There are no
incurable diseases, there are only incurable people.” And I had accepted what they were
telling me, “You have to accept that you have an incurable disease,” and that is what I
would have.
Myra: Doctors affect people. If they only knew what they were doing.

Sheariam: Because that’s where their consciousness is. After all, we respect their
education. We respect their dedication. We have been taught to revere people in
certain positions. And that is true where I live also.

Bonnie: I know a doctor, a Dr. Lewis, who is down in San Diego, a wonderful
general practitioner, a very intelligent man. But he is just about on his last legs with
multiple sclerosis. He has tried every way he can to find to try to cure himself.

Sheariam: I would like to have from each of you next time we meet three specific
conditions in your life that are there because you consented to them. Then we will
discuss them. (Question: Physical conditions? Is that what you’re talking about?) Any
kind of condition – human condition.
Now, your meditation on the well will be a continuing thing. You will
continue to work on that because each of you, as a distinct individual, is going to
find some kind of different reward than another. Not all of you will find your name
at the well. Most of you will find at least one or more members of your Source at the
well. But your experience with the well is going to shed a great deal of light on your
current life style and basic assumptions.
Now is there anything else you wish to discuss before our healing service?

Bonnie: I’m going to go up to Canada next week and spend the weekend with the
Evergreens. (Question: How did you locate the Evergreens?) In a brochure. What fun.
Maybe you’ll find Silverthistle up there.) Am I going to find Silverthistle up there?

Sheariam: We would certainly hope that the human beings who will stand
between you and the Evergreens will not allow personal considerations to prevent
his contacting you.

Jean: On the assignment, I think of three physical conditions I have, but quickly
looking at them, I don’t see how I consented to have them.

Sheariam: That’s what the assignment is, to find those things in your life which
you have accepted by consent. They are not necessarily all physical. (Myra: They
could be anxieties or fears?) Yes, indeed. I do not want to give you examples, for that
would be leading. I want you to work on this on your own. We will discuss it next
time.

Myra: Before we go into our silence, then we’ll just open ourselves to receive
whatever the condition is that’s going to come in our meditation? I would be a bit
relieved to find out. (Sheariam: That may be your way.)
Sheariam: Are we ready then for our healing meditation? When you have all
settled yourselves comfortable in your chairs, take three deep breaths and exhale
strongly to blow away any tension.
Now, if you will, visualize in your midst a pillar of light. Make it big around
as you wish, as tall as you wish, but make it a bright, shining pillar of Divine Fire.
As this pillar of fire glows mightily, you feel the radiative energy coming into you.
We will together then say “Khamael” three times. We will follow that by saying
“Disciplined Forcefulness is mine.” (In unison: “Khamael, Khamael, Khamael,
Disciplined Forcefulness is mine” repeated three times.)
Now just feel that energy. It’s as though the pillar of Divine Fire moves into
the interior of yourself, and you feel it there lighting your body, glowing into all of
your subtle bodies. This give you the power of self control, self determination.
Now, together, let us say, “I Am disciplined forcefulness,” repeated three
times. (This is done.) Just feel how that makes that pillar glow hotter, until your
whole being radiates with light.
Now let us say “Gabriel” three times followed by “Eternal Beingness is
mine.” (In unison: Gabriel, Gabriel, Gabriel, Eternal Beingness is mine.” Repeated three
times.) Now feel that radiant energy. Feel the Spirit Truth flow throughout your
physical body, flow throughout your desire body, flow throughout your emotional
body, flow throughout your mental body.
Now let us affirm together, “I live forever.” (In unison: “I live forever.”
Repeated three times.) Just feel that permanence, that indestructibility that is
truthfully yourselves.
Now, in the pillar of light, let that glow expand and expand, and call in your
loved ones to share the blessing of the Divine Fire. (Many names called.)
Now by the power of Khamael and by the strength of Gabriel, we are all
blessed with the healing energy of eternal perfection. Let the pillar of light grow
larger and larger. Then it becomes a beacon of truth throughout the world, and all
who would accept its light are healed. We are all one.
Now, as you visualize the pillar of light growing, and growing, and growing,
until light fills this room, indeed until light surrounds the entire globe, allow your
loved ones to return to themselves, taking the blessing of healing with them. Feel
yourselves blessed and healed. Let the light go on, The Eternal Flame burning
always within yourselves. And so as you go forth from here, you are also beacons of
truth. Blessed are you. And so it is done. Go in God’s peace until we meet again.
Close you meditation with a song.

Closed with “Let there be peace on earth.”
