Session #71 – March 29, 1986 Open Meeting
Present: About 80 guests plus the regular circle members except Eileen and Maxine.
The meeting was held at Waverley Heights Church which had been decorated for Easter with orchids, Easter lilies, and spring garden flowers. Introductory remarks were presented by Owen Cramer and Bonnie Wisz. Richard White led a short guided meditation. The usual singing of “Open my eyes” began the meeting as Netsok greeted us with Gloria’s eyes open and right hand raised. Netsok’s presentation was accompanied by almost continuous flowing gestures with both hands.
Netsok: Ho! I am Netsok the Innocent and Wonder-filled. We find you this eve of your holy Christian day you call Easter. So I bring to you this night an Easter message. Easter is not an event. Easter is a feeling which you here in the earth condition can enjoy. The holy day which you Christians celebrate reaches far back into your history to the time when self-consciousness was first beginning to make itself known -- when man came to understand that “Moon and me” had some relationship, and that the animals and the plants also were part of that feeling. There came at this special time in one’s life, that sense of newness and urgency and reverence. That feeling of Easter is a reverence for your planet earth. It is a reverence for that spirit within you that cries out for betterment, for inspiration, for growth, for newness, and reverence for Life itself. At this special time of your lives, you see a resurrection, a resurgence of Life as all life on your planet responds to that special relationship between yourselves and your sun and your moon. This is your one holiday which is determined by the relationship between the Moon and your sun. It is not a calendar event. It is tied into your feelings, your emotions. This should not be something that happens for you once a year. This should be a feeling that permeates your lives daily and monthly. As you falter, as you doubt, as you stumble, and even as you fall, that driving force of Soul causes you to look up, to pick up, to start again, to try once more, to rebirth your Intention, to strive, to have courage, to exercise faith. These are men’s prerogatives. Only those life forms on your planet which have self-consciousness can enjoy that feeling of resurrection which Easter represents in your Christian community. Only man can self-consciously deliberately exercise faith, courage and inner strength. These are those gifts which our Realm of Soul bestows upon your Egos, which thrusts you into life and manifestation. As you reverence the Life that you are, you honor that which brought you into being, and you take the Consciousness of your planet into the future, into that Age of Brotherhood and Affection, which demonstrates most fully the true reverence for Life. As you celebrate your Easter, whether you are Christian or not, you celebrate Easter every time you have a renewal, a feeling of resurgence of Life, every time you pull yourselves up a notch. Easter is a feeling to be enjoyed every day of your lives. Many of you find yourselves in situations much less than you would desire. But if, in your hearts, you light a candle of reverence for Life, and you perform your tasks carefully and thoroughly, that light within your breast brings your task to a joyful consciousness, and you have experienced a resurrection. Your work becomes more valuable. You become more valuable. And you make way for those of us that wait upon you. I am called The Innocent because I have not enjoyed Life in manifestation, and I cannot until man’s consciousness arrives at that resurrected level of reverence for Life. So long as you have wars, so long as you have crime, so long as you take life away from something or someone else, so long do you delay your New Age. Now, it is not that you can take Life, but you interfere with a cycle of performance, of fulfilling an Intention set in motion by the soul which brought you into being. That is not reverence for Life. It takes less courage to die than to live. Every day of your lives is an Easter, is a resurrection. As you rise from your sleep, the mere act of awakening from sleep is a resurrection. In that moment you are celebrating Life. Let that moment be a joyous moment. Let it not be filled with dread for the job you must go to, for the family members you must speak with, for the tasks which you must shoulder. Fill that moment of resurrection with joy and reverence of Life, and you will lift your consciousness to a higher level of faith and courage and endurance. As you perform your daily tasks with reverence and with joy, you establish in your consciousness that which is necessary to carry you through the portal you call “death” in full awareness. The more that you do not reverence Life, do not perform your tasks with joy, the more you make that transition difficult for yourselves and all of those who are commissioned to assist you.(Ed. Note: If you pay attention to life/what is happening, you can be fully aware at transition.) The New Testament story of the Resurrection of the Christ is that poem of praise to Life and to Liberty, and your own Immortality. I urge you, from the depths of my own being, to make every day an Easter day. And in accordance with lessons given by some of your teachers, consider the sounds of the word “Easter”. There is the joy of the “E”. There is the breaking down of old structures in the “S”. There is that connection of faith in the “T”, and the word ends with that new organization, the “r” sound of a newly born consciousness. That is Easter. Whenever you doubt, whenever you tremble and fear and yet pursue and yet endure and yet accomplish, you manifest faith that we have in you, and that you have in yourselves, and that you have in us. As you manifest courage, there are those of us who help. There are many such as I who wait on the threshold of the New Age, and we cannot step through that door until your faith, and your courage, and your endeavors make it possible for us to do so. But until that day comes, we bless you, and we keep the faith with you, for we know that day will surely come. Now I bless you and I shall bide a while longer with you to have some conversation with you so long as I can sustain this connection.
Jean Johnson: You spoke of life forms that have self-consciousness. Do all life forms have self-consciousness? (Not all forms have self-consciousness, but all forms have a consciousness.)
Owen: You mentioned that the resurrection as described in the bible was primarily a description of a situation rather than a specific event. I wondered, was there such a specific event which was used as an illustration of something broader? (There are many such events over the centuries. The event as described in your New Testament occurred, but not in the time frame to which you are accustomed, nor did it occur to only one band of people.)
Shiela Boone: Are there other beings on earth, other than Man, that have the subconscious? (One could say that all forms have subconscious in your psychological terminology, inasmuch as all existent things have Consciousness, but only certain forms have self-consciousness. Where you become confused about consciousness is in the fact that not all forms have equal capacity to act upon that Consciousness.)
Shira S: You spoke of the relationship of man to the Sun and Moon. I have a belief that all Jewish holidays are based upon this relationship, the planetary relationship. Is that true? And is this the reason why there has to be this relationship between Sun and Moon that brings the feeling of resurrection or enlightenment? (That is very true, and as you know, your Christian theology stems from Judaic theology. Many of your holidays, both Jewish and Christian, are pagan in origin in that they have come down through centuries of humans celebrating their triumphs and their relationship with their planet, with their Sun, and with their Moon.)
Myra: What is the significance of Jesus Christ? (You are asking me to deliver in a short time a body of information that man has struggled with volumes to convey.) No wonder I’m confused then. (Your own Silverthistle is currently dictating a book upon the significance of the Christ Life, and the Jesus man, and of the New Testament teachings.)
Unidentified voice: Right now the world seems to be so torn apart with religious strife, and if religion is the avenue through which people come to experience God, how has it gotten so turned around that people are killing one another because of their religion? (Religion is not the avenue through which Man relates to God. Religion is an established mode of operation, if you will, by which certain persons have grasped the reigns of power over masses, and this is why religions attempt to place curbs upon the minds of its followers. As self-conscious creatures, you can meet your God face to face without recognized limitations called religion, without intercessors, without dogma or creed. God resides in you, in your Consciousness, and through your self-consciousness is the Way. “I am the Way.” When you say “I am”, you are tapping into that direct connection with God through your own divinity. Religion has taken power from the hands of the many and put it into the few. This is a man- made product of civilization, and such a thing will not exist in the New Age.)
Dorothy Clark: I wondered about the Kosher Laws. You spoke of killing Life. Are the Kosher Laws still valid, and are they, as set down, the truth of the matter? (Again, the Kosher Laws were established by man as he attempted to construct a culture which would protect him and keep him safe. The Kosher Laws are only as valid as the men who made them. They are not God-created.)
Eunice Philipps: Will you please tell us who are the teachers and leaders for the New Age? (They are even now among you, some of them. Others are to come as you make it possible for Souls such as I to manifest Egos and Self-consciousness. The leaders must emerge on their own. The call for their leadership will come from within them.)
Corbin Willis: You spoke of subconsciousness. Is subconsciousness and the higher consciousness related, or is it a different realm of reality? (They are directly related, but they manifest in different kinds of reality.)
Myra: Would you explain that some more please? (There is Consciousness in all things, whether animate or inanimate, whether of this planet, or another planet, or another solar system, or another galaxy. Consciousness is everywhere present. But to be exercised, it must be coupled with a certain degree of Quantity of Volition, the capacity to act. The subconscious, as you term it, is a region within Consciousness within which rests the accumulated drives of Self over the centuries of Life manifestation upon this planet. Each and every one of you also has, intimate to yourselves, a region of All-consciousness which is peculiarly your own, and within which resides those Intentions of your Soul, which are the driving force behind the activities of your Ego.)
Shira: You were speaking of the Innocent, and you were speaking of wanting to join us, and not being able to because of where we are and where you are. Does this mean in turn then that we, too, can reach a point of understanding that would be equal to yours, that would facilitate your joining us, or will it be just the opposite, that we will in essence be joining you at your level of existence? And will we have a physical shape, or will you have a physical shape, or will we be in an energy state as you? Is that clear? It’s hard for me to express that.
Netsok: You, as an individual, are a manifestation of an Ego which has been given the responsibility to work out the Intention of a Soul. I am a Soul destined to manifest Egos in the New Age, and eager so to do. The Souls who are now manifesting will also be part of that age. All Souls involved in the working out of the destiny of this planet are in existence, and have been since the inception of the birth of this planet. But in its long history, certain Intentions had to be fulfilled first. And then, as those Intentions are filled, other Intentions coming from the Realm of Soul can become fulfilled. I merely await my time, but by invitation through channels such as this, I have the opportunity of stating my case, of encouraging you on your way as an assistant to the Souls of which you are the Ego manifestations on this planet earth.
Jenika: I’d like to know if it’s all right to kill animals for the purpose of eating them, or using their flesh or their oils. (It is in the natural biological order of this planet that certain life forms eat certain other life forms. And this food chain is normal and natural and should be honored and revered. It matters not whether it is an herb or a seed or an animal’s flesh which you consume. If you bless that which you consume to the fulfillment of its destiny, to the joy and nourishment of your body, and as you consume this blessed food, the Consciousness of that food becomes incorporate in your Consciousness, and is given the opportunity to rise to self- consciousness. But never put anything into your body that you cannot reverence and which will not enhance the fulfillment of your Purpose as a self-conscious entity on this planet. It is nearing time for my departure, but we will hear your words.
Bonnie: I was wondering if there are many like you in the Realm of Soul in other realms waiting to come. (There is the whole developing “Consciousness-to-be” that awaits.) Now I give you my blessing that I shall live among you. So let it be.
Closed with singing “Let there be peace on earth.”
