Session #96 – April 18, 1987
Gloria’s Circle

Present: Betty Welty, Clista McPherson, Jeneeka, Owen and Maxine Cramer, and
Shira Subotnick

Sheariam: Good evening students and friends. A cozy circle this night.
Owen: Hopefully we’re in tune, though. We’ll give our names. (Done three times,
somewhat in tune.) Even a small group, you do well. We are pleased.
As promised when last we met, there is not to be a teaching segment tonight,
except that which you shall learn as we interact upon your experiences in your
assignment. Who has been practicing the enunciation of the name before
meditation. (Several said they had.) With what result?

Owen: In my case, the same lack of success. My meditations result mostly in
either mind wandering or I drop off to sleep.

Sheariam: You need to invoke, “I am disciplined forcefulness”. Well, then, how
about the stairs meditations?

Owen: There is one that I’ve been carrying around hoping to get it in. This is
from Bonnie. She wrote to us and asked that we please present this. She says,
“I entered a large mansion. In it was an exposed circular staircase. I walked up the
six steps to a turn, and continued to a total of 25 steps. At the landing was a long, narrow,
wooden table, and at the end were placed some coins. Next to the table was a hand water
pump, which I pumped. A plug, so to speak, or black muck, came out, and then the water
ran clear. I looked for the steps to descend and found four separate staircases. I selected
the second from the right, stepped down 15 steps to a large, beautiful garden.”

Sheariam: The meditation begins with action and ends with action. The first six
steps represent action taken on personal initiative to bring about a change in life
style, which even now is in effect. The second segment of that rise is indicative of the
emotional, mental, and spiritual state to be gained as this change in life style is
effected. It will prove to be something of a suspended time, but a time in which
certain activities must occur before she shall get on with the main activity of this life
span. For this time she must deal with the coin of the realm. She must confine her
attentions to those demands of the material realm which obligations she contracted
for prior to this incarnation.
The water pump exemplifies what might be termed a “spiritual pump”. As
she pursues these activities, she is building up that pressure which shall indeed force
that murky plug to emerge. This will be the dealing within herself of emotions which
she has harbored for many lifetimes which now must be brought forth and resolved.
She must continue to prime her spiritual pump until the water flows clear.
Then the six descending stairs is the action she will take to further her
evolutionary thrust as an individual creating therein the future dharma which shall
stem from this life span. This meditation is clearly indicative that this one is in the
right place doing the right thing.
Owen: You mentioned descending “six steps”. She stepped down fifteen steps.
(Which makes for the numeral “six”.)

Jenika: I would like to report on my staircase meditation. I start out at the base of
a tower, and the walls are damp and green with mold or some kind of fungus growing.
There are stone steps and I walk up 43 steps. At that time a bird comes down from the
top, so, at that time, I know there must be an opening there. I’m 43 years old, so that
might have some significance.
I climb in and at the 50th step three birds come down, and I get the idea that I’m
half-way there. I continue climbing, and I climb 113 steps. When I reach the top, the top
of the tower closes over, and I’m standing on the top of the tower holding on to a rod, or
else I would fall. There’s nothing else there. There’s no support.
So I’m standing on top of this tower holding on to a rod, and it’s windy and
cloudy, and there are no steps down. Before, I had in my hand some BBs, and the only
thing I can think of where BBs came from was a dream I had about Gloria a month or
two ago. We were on a bus, and she was the driver. I was behind her, and she would
make a stop. I would run out and pickup some BBs and come back. So I had some BBs in
my hand when I was climbing up the tower.
So, I’m at the top of the tower. There’s no way down. I wait for a long time
thinking that something will materialize. Nothing does. So, finally I call out to William,
my guide. I say, “William, William. Mayday. Mayday”. And out of the sky comes these
thick pink and blue ribbons fluttering down. They make a staircase down on to the left. I
start down the staircase. I go fifteen steps, and it turns into a slide. I slide down into a
warm lake. Then I swim to an island. I rest on the island. I look back, and I see a rainbow
there.

Sheariam: This meditation incorporates several meaningful parts. The stone
stairs are indicative of the hardships encountered in this life. The steps that you
have taken to elevate yourself have been based to some degree on hard effort, on
purposefulness, on deliberation. You are correct in perceiving the significance of the
number of steps as equivalent to the number of years in this life span.
As you climb to the top of the tower, the number of your stairs indicates the
establishment of an identifiable selfhood. The fact that the tower is so high, and that
as you come out on top there is nothing to cling to but a rod is indicative of your
direction towards building this life’s span towards an ideal which gives you few
alternatives.
The fact that your meditation proceeds to provide you with an alternative by
calling upon your source is a very happy circumstance and one in which we take
great pride for you. As you called upon your source, you were supplied that which
you needed, and you took action upon that supply. The way was made easy for you
as you slid down into the warm water. This is also a forerunner of an incarnational
experience which you are planning for yourself. As you reached the warm water you
found that you had to make an effort to reach land, which is somewhat a description
of your coming future life span activity.

Jenika: Could you comment more on my coming incarnation of how the water and
the land enter in? (The water is the womb. The amniotic sac.) So, it’s more of my next
birth. (Yes.) What do the BBs mean? (They represent bearings. As the wheel of life
turns, it could be likened to any mechanical wheel which requires bearings to make
the rotation smooth. So, these are those concepts which you have clarified for
yourself, which you can hold in your hand. As for your dream, the channel driving
the bus represents this course of learning, but you must get off and find those
concepts yourself which have to do with the evenness of the turning of the wheel of
your life.)

***Shira: I have one that I had quite a while ago, and I’ve had so many
different ones since then, but this is one that I really enjoyed, and it stays the freshest in
my mind. I have a real hard time holding on to the stairs. I keep wanting to fly, but my
stairs are always a ladder-like thing. They’re not really stairs. It’s just like a ladder going
up. So I went up 39 stairs managing to hold on and keep my feet on the rungs of the
ladder. I stood up. There was no platform really, just the top. I asked what was I supposed
to learn there, and what was supposed to be gained by being there.
I looked off and coming toward me was a very bright light. As it grew closer to
me I realized that it was a young man with blond hair and blue eyes. He had kind of curly
blond hair, kind of an upturned nose, and fair complexion. He reached out his hand
toward me like he was beckoning me to come towards him. As I reached toward his hand
I remember a great big “5”, a block number “5”, and a great big block number “6” just
float through the air like on the horizon in the distance. They were very large numbers,
kind of in a pastel color, reddish pink. When he reached towards me and took my hand,
all of a sudden I was standing in front of him. He took this great big crystal out. As he
held the crystal he just pointed it directly at my forehead. I remember feeling this energy
just zooming through me.
Then after that I don’t know what happened to the crystal, but it was as though he
and I were on this slide, and the slide was a horizontal figure “8”. We were going around
this figure “8” like an infinity sign. Then all of a sudden I was on the slide by myself, and
it straightened out. It was like I was flying or gliding on the slide. I don’t know what
happened to him. He was no longer with me.
I went towards three pyramids. They looked metallic at first. I thought I was
looking at a side, but they were standing up because it was a flat triangle, then another
flat triangle coming off from the middle of it to hold it in place. I realized it was just
translucent, because I went inside of it. It wasn’t metal at all. I went inside it, and I felt
real happy in there. I felt like I belonged in there. It was very serene. Then all of a sudden
I was on the slide again. I slid back down to a green area, lots of little flowers and very
short mossy grass. There I was in the woods. That was the end of my dream. Oh. There
was one step to step off the slide onto the grass.

Sheariam: As you begin the experience, you are climbing toward harmony, the
39 being a number of harmonizing. As you achieve harmony, you can stand free in
complete balance. Porter arrives, opens the third eye, and you begin your
mediumship in earnest. Together you travel, a trip of power. Your visions are
warning you that if this power is not used properly, Porter will disappear. Nothing
harmful will come to you. You will ultimately arrive at a condition of peace and
harmony, but you will go downward to that peace and harmony until you again
climb to that trinity of balance.
You have the capacity to change the outcome. Keep working upon this as you
have a destiny to fulfill, and we anticipate association with you in your mediumship.

Shira: It was Porter, then? (Yes.) I’ve been asking him to come to me, and that’s
how he chose to come to me. I’ve been wanting to connect with him. Thank you very
much.

Clista: I am in a beautiful garden. There are stones that are going up. There are
twenty steps. There are two stones lying on either side. As I’m going up there’s these
beautiful statues. One’s of Venus and there’s a Pan and other gods and goddesses. I get to
the top and there is a stone bridge over a waterfall, and I go across that and down to the
lake. There is a swan there that comes up, and I get on the swan. We fly up in the sky and
come back to a water fountain the middle of another garden.

Sheariam: `That is actually a far memory recall of an Egyptian lifetime in which,
as royalty, you were believed to be able to fly to the sun and return safely. As you
image it in your mind, the swan represents physical beauty in this lifetime. It is
important for you to be physically beautiful. It has proven to be a vehicle of success
for you, and is truly part of your destiny. As you shape that destiny into producing
that which you most want from this life, you find that it is a garden. It is not a patch
of thorns. Your twenty steps reflect the understanding that this lifetime is to be an
objectification of what you learned in that previous Egyptian life.

Betty: I’m in the stage where I’m almost afraid to go into meditation because
they seem to be so intense that I find I’m putting it off and doing other things. As I went
into the stair meditation, at first, I found three flights of steps. It took me right up against
a bank of moss and fern. I looked for a handhold, but I could get no handhold. Everything
was too soft. So, I gave it up.
Then later, as I was hunting for stairs, I came on to what I felt was a large boulder
or cliff or wall. In it I found three steps, and there was no place to go after that. So, I
began to look for footholds and handholds, and even though it felt like to me what might
be a granite boulder, I was able to scrape out handholds and find a place to pull myself
up. I was very conscious of the fact that I couldn’t have done this in the physical. It was
an exertion that I don’t have the physical capabilities to do.
But I thought, “This is all right. It’s my meditation. I can do it here.” So, I went
up. It seemed like it was a great distance, but I counted nine. Then when I got up there, it
was very high and a very small area. In my conscious life I have a fear of heights. There I
felt that fear also. I laid nose right down into the rock, just spread-eagle on it, and stayed
there for quite a while. I felt like I was very tall and very high. Then finally I had the
feeling that I wanted to have the sun on me, so I turned over and laid on my back, and felt
like the sun was shining on me for a while.
Somewhere, I don’t know whether it was when I was laying down or later, it
seemed like I flew up, or was like a helicopter going away from myself, watching myself
on the rock there. Then I sat up and looked around and admired the panorama. It seemed
like I was very high. I could see mountain ranges all around me. I don’t know whether it
was sunset or sunrise, but everything seemed blue and hazy with pink in the sky above it.
A number of times driving home, I have seen that same look, and I’ve been very aware of
that color.
Then after that the instructions were to find the stairs down. I looked around, but
it’s too steep for stairs of any kind. It’s too small. There was no way that there could be
stairs. I couldn’t make them anyway. I decided I would repel down. Now this is curious
because on television when I watch them repelling, I get nauseated from fear. But I knew
that I knew how, and the rope was there. There was a place to hook it on, and I was trying
to decide whether to go down fast or slow.
I kept thinking it would be fun to go down fast, but it would be safer to go down
slow. All of a sudden, I was at the bottom. I turned around and there were three large
steps down. I came to a wooden bridge across the stream, and I started to go across the
bridge. As a matter of fact, I think I got all the way across, but I decided I wanted to stay
there and watch the steam. It was a mountain stream coming down rapidly, and I wanted
to watch and listen to it. So, I sat down on the bridge, and that’s where the meditation
ended.

Sheariam: Throughout your recitation occurred and re-occurred the number “3”
and multiples of “3”, which states and re-states your need for internal balance and
harmony. The difficulties encountered in your meditation are representative of the
obstacles you set for yourself in your daily life. Fear of heights reflects the fear of
becoming too rarified with respect to those with whom you live your life. As you
reach those heights through great effort, you then still do not want to face the
consequences which they demand. But ultimately you do. As you turn to face the
sun, you will find that this great effort which you expend delivers you to a place in
the sun.
Then you are faced with that quandary as to how to get down. As your own
mind gives you the answer, slowly is best. You live life virtually on the cutting edge.
Your life is filled with tension, and you tend to burst the seams, so to speak. As you
push against the restraints and restrictions of your life attempting to find that
freedom that you know is there for you. You ultimately find it in peace and
tranquility and quietness as you sit and watch instead of trying so hard to push and
strain at what you perceive to be the restraints and restrictions.
If you would be more tender with yourself, more accepting, more loving, and
more forgiving with yourself, you would find that your life would not be nearly so
restrictive or so restraining. There would be more time for moments of peace and
quiet when you could sit and ponder and watch the flow. As you watch the flow
through the lives of those near and dear to you without feeling that you must do
anything but sit on the bridge above it and watch it, your own life will become less
stressful, and you will find your meditative experiences more productive. Blessings
to you.

Betty: May I ask one other question in relation to my mother? (Certainly.)
Again, it is my responsibility to sit on the bridge and watch and not get entangled. Is that
what I’m hearing? (Yes.) Or can you give me any more information on it? It seems
like…. (It is one thing to fulfill reasonable requests. It is another thing to allow
yourself to be pushed into a corner.) Thank you. It’s hard to define what is responsible
and what is… (Reasonable request, not demand which invades your privacy and
eats up your strength.) Thank you very much.

Maxine: I have a very short step meditation. I went up 45 stairs at a 45 degree
angle. At the top was a platform with a bench. I sat on the bench, and it was evening. The
sky was very blue with millions of twinkling stars. It came to me that there are a myriad
things to do: a telephone call to make, a letter to write, a button to sew on, furniture to
dust, and I went off into a reverie. I’m mostly wondering what the 45 steps and the 45
degree angle meant? (Those are both “nines”, and that is the tying up of loose ends, of
bringing things to conclusion, for definitive action, for decisiveness.) You’re saying
it’s time for decisiveness. (Yes.)

Myra: I had a most exciting meditation. When I am in a guided meditation
situation, I find that my meditation in a group setting are far more vivid perhaps or
productive than when I’m alone. When I’m alone, I talk to my guides. I have questions,
and I get insights when I’m doing intellectual things, but I don’t’ seem to get very good
meditations. But this particular one last week was in a group, and it was a regression kind
of situation. Could I use that as our meditation for tonight? (Yes.)
I was asked to go into a relaxed state, and I was to go down and down and down.
Immediately I found myself inside a pyramid – the great pyramid – in a descending shaft.
I was going down and down and down, but I found myself pretty soon underneath the
pyramid going down in a straight path for six steps and then turning and going down
another six. I keep going down and down and down…
I don’t have any idea how far I went before I came to a tunnel – a long tunnel.
There was light at the end of the tunnel. When I came out of the tunnel I was a 15-year-
old Egyptian girl wearing a long cotton gown with a stricture around my waist, barefoot.
I was beside a small flowing stream on a packed earth bank. I turned and went into a
garden which had a wooden fence around it, and there were many wonderful, beautiful
flowers. Then I was gathering some vegetables for dinner that night.
Then the next part of the meditation, I was twenty years old and this was part of
the guided part. First, I was fifteen and the second part I was twenty. In the second part I
was the assistant to a professor in a school of learning, and I was writing Egyptian
hieroglyphics. I was thrilled with what I was doing. I don’t have any idea about what I
was studying. I also discovered that it was in the year 927, the first session, and the
second part was 922, so, of course, that would be B.C.
So then in the third part I was 25 years of age, and I was walking down in a
village, walking toward a big, big building carrying a child. I walked into the building
and left the child in a nursery. Then I went into another room, and I was working for the
same professor. His hair was long and white, and he had a long white beard. That was the
extent of my meditation. Very vivid and fun.
(You do know who that professor is in this life span, do you not? ) No. My
husband? (No.) Ira? (No.) Gloria? (No.) Who? (It is your son, Kendrick.) Can you say
anything more about the meditation? (There is much there for you to consider. It
would be better to discuss it at a later time after you review your feelings and
attitudes toward your son and your interaction with him.)

Owen: I did have a brief stair meditation, except that my looking for a stairway
developed into my finding a pole, like a telephone pole that had spikes alternating on it.
So I climbed the pole, 27 spikes or 27 steps. At the top of the pole I came out on the
porch of a rather modern house, it looked like, but it had a definite oriental motif around
the windows and doors. It just appeared somewhat oriental. It was in an area of deep
valleys below, and off to the left and behind were some very high mountains. I wanted
nothing particularly different there than I want now, and that is closer awareness of the
spiritual aspects of my life and working in harmony with them. I looked around for a
stairway down. I found none, but there was a walkway that went off to the left toward a
village, of which this dwelling was a part, a village in this mountainous area.

Sheariam:Of course your “27” is a “9”. Again, as in another meditation, the
closing out of issues, the finalizing of effort. The fact that these were steps going up a
pole shows the direction or manner in which you think. One of the reasons that you
are not achieving meditations of the nature that you seek is because of the manner
in which you think. As you think literally from one premise to another, you can
move in a singular direction. Your pathway, your avenue, to the left indicates a need
to think less logically, to seek an intuitive mode of thought, an associative mode of
thought, to seek symbolism behind fact rather than the fact itself.
You have great appreciation of nature as evidenced by the hills and the
valleys, but you see your spiritual growth and success as something at a distance
from you, rather than part and parcel of what you are. The mountain tops seem far
away, and yet in your own now life span you have spent many hours in the bosom of
those mountains in the closest of contact with nature and the nature spirits. As you
amplify this connection that you have with the nature life forms around you, you
will expand that intuitive side of your mind, for flowers and trees are not rational,
they are intuitive. As you tune into the energy of plant life, you will find that
expansion that will be that pathway, that level pathway to walk that leads you to the
village, the organization of thought which you seek, but you find it through the
disorganization of the intuitive mind.

Jenika: I’d like to talk about my well meditation. What has happened is that my
tower has crumbled so that I don’t have a tower any more. So when I go into meditation,
I’m swinging from a swing in the sky with clouds and just space all over. The ropes are
attached to something that I can’t see what it is, very tall, miles maybe. I’m just swinging
back and forth. I called William there since I can’t get to my realm, and he pumped me a
little higher. He stands on the swing and pumps. So, I feel uncomfortable that I’m
swinging there because I’m not doing anything. I’m not at my well, I’m suspended. I’m
not at my well meeting my other guides and drinking water. But I feel good that I’m not
in my tower because I think it’s the time to leave the tower. Could you comment on
what’s happening?

Sheariam: You are indeed in a period of in-between-ness, of suspension. You are
swinging forward toward a new life coupled with new ideals, and yet you are pulled
by your previous experiences, your previous contacts, your earlier friendships and
connection which pull you backward, and so you swing to and fro. This is a natural
order of human experience, especially to one who is clinging to what few points of
order can be found deep within the consciousness from past experience.
The future is for you to create. Your destiny is very indistinct, for you are
beginning to develop a new destiny path. This is, of course, frightening, and thus
you cling to the past, both the deep psyche path and the current life path. Allow
yourself this time in which to get used to the relinquishment of the past. It is difficult
to move to the future until the past can be let go. Do not attempt to move to the
future until the past can be let go. Do not attempt to force yourself forward until
you are comfortable and secure doing so.

Jenika: Does this relinquishment mean possessions also? (That is one material
manifestation.) And friends that aren’t of my thinking? (Yes.)

Myra: I guess I was utterly stunned at what you told me. I would like very much
if you could perhaps elaborate a little bit more about the Egyptian experience. Was that
truly a past life experience? (Yes.) And I was working with the hieroglyphics. Have you
anything you could tell me about that experience? (That was a substantive previous
experience upon which you have based your current teaching skills.) I wondered if
that was the reason why that life came to me, because it did dwell upon this particular life
time. (It is also important at this period of your life that certain things with your son
are to be resolved based upon that lifetime.) That’s very interesting. I thought that we
had dealt with everything.) You have dealt with much, but nothing is finished until it
is over.) Thank you very much. I’ll work on that.

Betty: That leaves some questions. You said “nothing is finished until it’s over”.
I have some relationships I am still working on. Reading from the life reading, I don’t
know quite how to interpret them. Are all relationships solvable? (Not in one life span,
or we would not be reincarnating together.) Are you saying that I’m going to have to
go back to reincarnate with these same people again? I don’t know if I want to hear that.
(Not necessarily back at ground zero.)

Shira: This nothing to do with meditation, but it is something that I really want to
understand. It is something to do with my father. May I ask you a question? (Yes.) My
father has cancer, and I’m not quite understanding as to why my father has developed this
cancer. I see a tremendous growth spiritually, metaphysically as a result of this cancer.
Yet there is a closeness between he and I that no one else in our family has. It’s as though
he and I are our own best friends. It’s always been this way, even when I was a little girl.
I was always his buddy, his closest friend, and he was always mine, like a mentor for me
to inspire me to be the best I could be and never to set limits for me, but to increase my
horizons. Can you give me some insight as to why he and I are best of friends, and why it
is so important for me to help, why I keep demanding every morning and every night in
my invocations that he remain with me in this realm for as long as he possibly can, not
because I’m afraid of his going on, but because he is so very, very important to my being,
my I AM-ness. It seems that he and I have a bond that exceeds the limits of this realm.
Could you explain anything about that to me, please?
(I would say only that indeed this is so. The bond between the two entities is
of long duration. However, it is not for you to decide what he must or must not do in
terms of his own span. Emphasize the quality of your relationship, not the duration
thereof.) The quality has always been there. That’s why I don’t want the duration to be
lessened. Can you give me any insight as to what it is that he is not releasing that has
manifest itself in the form of cancer? (He is releasing, but you are not.)
But I mean about his cancer. (Cancer is not a matter of releasing. Cancer is a
physical manifestation of the emotional conviction that one can no longer cope with
that which has been chosen as a life.) And if one decides then to cope with that which
one has chosen for life, then that cancer can be released and eliminated from the physical,
mental and spiritual state? (Yes.) And that is what cancer is: the inability to cope. (It is
an emotional conviction that one cannot cope. It is not necessarily a fact.) Thank you
very much.

Clista: I’ve been very happy in my life this last a little over three years. AmI not
applying myself spiritually as I should be at this point in my life? (Is happiness a
barrier to spiritual growth?) No. (Then you have answered your own questions.)

Maxine: If you are taking any more meditations, I have one on the well. (Proceed.)
I went to the well. On the left was a pool of blue water, and on the right was a well with a
low stone wall and green water. I first scooped with my hands and drank from the left
pool, blue, asked for suggestions for Qualifying my Quantity. The answer came: I am to
pray and listen within. I am guided, but must pay attention to take action. I went to the
well on the right, took a cup, scooped up a drink. It was cool and refreshing. I asked again
for suggestions for Qualifying my Quantity. Build upon what you have learned. Many
sources that show grades of beingness. Evaluate and choose wisely, but not always what
you want to do first or most. Don’t hesitate to evaluate at intervals. Of course, what I was
told is self-explanatory. (I would but add, the blue water represents Mentation,
mental activity. The green water relates to state of health – vitality.)

Owen: I’d like to ask about the relationship between ourselves. Maxine and I, and
our son who is now in the opposite end of the country. He seemed to place a rather
definite barrier between us because his religion is very uncompromising. I personally
think it is great that he’s very enthusiastic about this pursuit, but I’m wondering what this
does to our relationship and what we can do about it. It has put a strain on it because there
is hardly anything we can discuss without this barrier arising. (Remember that your
children chose you for the genetic code which you can provide. This does not mean
that a family remain united in one cause throughout their span of existence together.
If this pursuit on either side causes alienation, then you must allow the alienation.
You must, for your part, continue to love and encourage and support that son in his
pursuits. As we have taught, you are not to evangelize. While it is his belief that is
his duty, you may let him evangelize. That does not mean that you must convert. By
being secure in the root of your own being, by being secure in your sense of self, you
demonstrate to him, perhaps, his own bigotry.)

Jenika: I’d like to ask you a question about my daughter. Sometimes she has very
bad nightmares of people chasing her, trying to kill her. The night before last she
dreamed of cannibalism, and she willed herself to wake up. She invoked Khamael and
Gabriel. She then went back to sleep and slept well the rest of the night. The dream was
very faded in the day. Is there something you could tell me to help her? Where are these
horrible dreams coming from? What can she do to get rid of them?
(Of course, the dreams stem from a poorly defined identity. There is great
fear within this psyche of dissolution, of being lost in the solvent of life, of not having
that identity of I-ness, of having space to claim as one’s own. She must learn that it
is right and proper to have one’s own space and to fill it up completely with comfort
and distinction. Until she can release this feeling of being lost in someone else’s life,
she will not be able to release the dreams. In the invocation of “I Am”, she is
strengthening that sense of “I”, and also the “I have” which is necessary to the
material life in this planet.
She must learn dominance, dominance of herself. She cannot dominate
something she does not know for sure exists. So you reinforce that she is indeed a
substantive, individualized person with rights and property rights and spatial rights
and heritage rights. This will strengthen that sense of protection and enable her to
allow her source group to become closer, more supportive and protective.)

Betty: Can I ask some questions about the semi-precious stones. I’ve been
acquiring and wearing the amethyst, etc. I am assuming that it does make a difference in
health to wear the different ones at different times, even though they are just the non-
precious small ones. Can you give me some insights about mixing them with gold or the
other things like this? Should they be worn by themselves? (This is such an individual
matter that generalizations might mislead some people. One cannot go wrong as a
human being on this planet at this time wearing amethyst. Some of the other stones
and metals may not be proper to the individual.)
How can we find this out? Just by feeling, by using a pendulum? Any
suggestions? (Both of those modes are appropriate. If possible, when we have
completed our course of instruction, Anna will return and complete what she began
elsewhere.))

Maxine: I have some crystal beads that belonged to my mother. I’m wondering
about the wisdom of my wearing them. (How do you feel when you wear them?) I
haven’t noticed any feeling at all. I did try to think about that at one time, and I never had
been aware of any particular feeling, but I did put them away, I guess more from what I
thought I learned from here. (A slogan that our channel often uses has great basis in
fact. “When in doubt, don’t”.) I like these beads and I get them out and look at them,
but I always put them away.

Owen: Would the undesirability of wearing the beads be related to the
composition of the beads or to the fact that they were her mother’s? (Both. Remember
that matter has a vibratory rate, a frequency which is altered by the impact or
connection or encounter with other vibratory frequencies. Thus a crystal in
connection with a metal will act differently than it would by itself. Any kind of
matter, and most especially mineral matter, changes potency by the encounter of the
thoughts of one who wears or owns or has control over them.)
Maxine: Would it be wrong to give this necklace to somebody else who knows
nothing about the previous owner? (If the recipient can hold these in the hands
comfortably with affinity, it would be a proper gift.)

Shira: I have a question about my channeling. It seems that there are different
kinds of channeling that I receive. I can hear people talking readily all the time, and then
there are times that I feel heavy energy on my forehead, on my head, especially like when
I come into this room. I feel the presence of those around me, and I also feel as though
when it’s especially heavy that perhaps maybe I’m supposed to allow myself to be used
as a vehicle at that time.
I know I was told to have absolute faith, and I have also made a real effort every
morning and every night to thank my guides. They know how much I love them. Also I
tell them to please be the protectors or the guards of my gate. With that, and saying that I
have absolute faith, should I then just allow it if it wants to be. Is that what they’re telling
when there is a real pressure on my head? Is it a higher energy than the astral plane
normal energy that I receive?

Sheariam: It is important in the early days of your opening that gland that you
have with you the proper audience, for your success in bringing through truth
depends as much upon the hearers as it does upon your capacity to be a clear
channel. As we have told again and again, our success in bringing these teachings to
you depends upon the focus of the members of the group and the good will that
exists among them. If you channel for an audience that is improper, then you can be
deceived and be misused and be ill-used.

Shira: You say “an audience that is improper”. Would this be associated then
when we had our weekend at the Alton Collins Retreat, there was a family, a daughter
and father whose wife, the mother of the daughter, the wife of the man, had passed on.
They were very distraught, and all of a sudden, I heard the mother say she wanted to talk
to the daughter. I had no reason to believe it was not the mother, because I had asked my
guides to only allow that goodness to come through. I told the girl the mother was there.
She wanted to talk to her, so I allowed this to happen. Whatever I was hearing, I just
spoke it. I didn’t go into trance. I just heard her talking and relayed the messages. Then
the father next said he wanted to talk to her, so I allowed that also to happen. They felt
very, very relieved and were very happy with the information they received. Actually,
they were quite consoled by it. Isn’t that a proper audience” How are you to decide what
is proper and what is not proper? (It depends upon what level you wish to work. If
you wish to be the medium between the two worlds, there is nothing wrong with
that. So long as you remain in that service, you will not serve the temple teachers.)
Isn’t serving the temple teachers helping others? (Yes, indeed it is, but at a different
level.)
Myra: Would you say that it is at a higher level than the two worlds you
mentioned? (Yes. As we have given you about the astral realm, so long as there can
be communication, so long as a window can be found, those on the other side may
linger longer than they should.)

Shira: But also, Gloria mentioned to me that she, in her beginnings, was -
receiving. I had no idea what was involved in that. She had wanted to help us, but became
very involved with this work with the circle and could not give a class on those people
who were receiving all of this – just receiving. So, I mentioned to her that I was receiving
so many different things, and she said that she, too, had received those things, and yet she
now is in a state of receiving you and your Temple of Initiation. (After considerable
initiatory steps, this is true.) So… (We could not teach through her.) As long as she
was doing what I am doing. (Yes.)
So, I must not allow anything until what I want to allow comes through. How will
I know that is it? If I have absolute faith, how do I just allow it then? (You are even now
being prepared from the subtle realm for your mediumship to work with us.) Then
it is true what I was thinking before? The reason that I came to the group. (Yes.) Thank
you. I’ll depend on you to guide me. I’ll leave it in your hands that I’m willing and
wanting, and I will be responsible.

Betty: Might I ask a question on my first staircase meditation I had months and
months ago. Again, it was three stairs up. It seemed like they were huge wooden ones. I
assume that’s seeking inner balance again. Then I came to an area that seemed like a
barren plateau, hazy, etc. Then when I found the staircase to go down, it was endless. It
went on and one and on and on. I forced myself to start down. Again, there was fear of
heights. It seemed like I would count three steps and go back to numerology, sit down,
count and cry. Was it again the same thing that I got in this last stair communications?
(Yes.)
When I got to the bottom of that one, I couldn’t step off the last stair. I made a
wooden platform, and even then I couldn’t step off. Finally I dove off into the water. That
was the end of the meditation. Could you comment? (Yes. At the risk of giving you
building materials to build an incorrect structure of thought, I must say to you that
the way you will find the other side of your dilemma will be through a severe
emotional crisis. For now it is proper that you sit on the bridge and watch the water
flow. This objectivity allows you to watch your emotions without becoming too
involved, because involvement is painful. But eventually you will, when the time is
right, take that dive and go through the emotional crisis as you have gone through
healing crises. You will come out the other side whole and cleansed and joyously
balanced.) These are the nicest things I have heard in a long time.
I can’t read my body any more. This is part of this being unbalanced, isn’t it?
(Yes.)
It seems like it’s always out of whack.

Myra: I have a question about using invocations morning and night. I
experimented with different ways to utilize the Principles and the Attributes that you
gave us early on. I’ve gotten very excited about using the Attributes with Khamael and
Gabriel and saying, “I am disciplined forcefulness” and “I am wisdom” and “I will
disciplined forcefulness”. I go through each of the Attributes as I name the Archangel.
What do you think about that? (You were guided in that direction so long ago. If you
will recall, you asked how to take yourself in hand. So now you are.) Oh, thank you.
What a memory you have. You’re right. I have noticed an enormous change in me, and I
feel that this way of invoking has given me a lot more power of myself. One thing more,
though. I noticed in the Attribute of the Law of Dominance is Feeling and Emotion. (No.
Feeling, Desire.) Not Emotion. I looked back to see if I had recorded it wrong. So our
chart is wrong then. It’s Feeling, Desire. I must change that. OK. How does that Desire
relate to Desire body?
(The Desire Body is the vehicle for the Desire Attribute. At the present time,
the Desire Attribute in the Desire Body is that of Instinct. Under the Law of
Dominance, as you learn to distinguish between “need” and “want”, you begin to
Desire that which is Appropriate-ly yours.) We discussed Desire, and “want” and
“need” in the Wheel of Karma. This directly relates to it? So you feel that is something
that I should continue to do. Should I recommend it to others too? (Yes, indeed.)

Maxine: I thought that was interesting. You said “begin to desire what you
appropriately want”. Is that it? (What is appropriately yours.)
Myra: Oh, I desire a trip to Alaska. (Laughter.) (Appropriate it.) I appropriate it.
Believe me, it is happening this summer.

Owen: Sheariam, earlier this evening we were talking about what are called
“starseed crystals” which have been on the market recently, I don’t know how far back.
They are quartz crystals, but they have a very definite difference in appearance from the
usual quartz crystal. Do these have special qualities and a different origin? (Indeed, they
do. They have to do with the future of this planet and the way matter shall be
shapen, and the way life shall be involved in matter, and the course of evolution.)
Shira: Are they coming to this planet in the way I described earlier. I think you
were here then? Something brings them in by ship or something like that, a space ship,
some sort of a vessel flies over the earth, a large vessel, and something like lightning
bolts? (That is the material manifestation in this atmosphere of the reality behind
the event.) That material manifestation is the starseed crystals? (The so-called space
ship.) So-called space ship? (It is an illusion.) But is that illusion not a reality, just like
all other illusions? (No. It is a reality, but what is observed as a three-dimensional
material object is an illusion.) Why must it take the form of a space ship then? (In
order to affect the planet earth.)
What about these other space ships that are supposedly being spotted over the
Andes, the mountains of Peru, etc. Is this also the same thing then? (Yes. It is a
materialization, even as a poltergeist may be a materialization of a force.) And those
beings that are said to come from those particular ships, are those materializations also
then? (Yes.) Of the Spirit-Physical realm trying to communicate with us? (Not always
Spirit-Physical.) Then what? (How could you understand? I cannot tell you.)

Myra: Could you explain the relationship between the words of the starseed
crystals and the words that we used when you told us about “starseed” and “seed stars”?
Is there a connection between those? (What you call space, not just space in this room,
but space in which galaxies exist, is indeed full of starseed. In order for certain
forces to have effectiveness in the material realm, in this three-dimensional realm
which you witness as a planet and a physical body, they must also assume
substantiation, but it is an illusion.)
Maxine: It is just form for that particular mission? (Yes, even as a psychosome
may don fleshly garments.)
Myra: I didn’t see the connection between my question and your answer. Did you
say that the starseed crystals and starseed and seed stars are related? (Yes.)

Betty: What is your recommendation as far as purchasing and owning one?
(Beware.) It would be better probably to let them be, to not want to own one? (They are
dangerous.)
Shira: In what way are they dangerous? (They have powers which you know
not of, let alone know how to control.) Can those powers not be, if they feel as though
they are around those that are good? Can’t their powers be utilized then? (They can be
destructive. It can interfere.)
Myra: There is a store here in town called Styles for Relaxation that has been
promoting caretakership, where they don’t sell them, but they allow people to take care of
them. What do you think of that? (You are allowing alien forces into your
environment.) What is this “purpose”? You say that they have a purpose now, that they
are coming to us now for a purpose. (Man is giving up his dominion over his planet.)
So those who take in the “starseeds” within their realm are giving up their dominion over
their realm? (They are potentially doing so.)

Betty: Now, just regular quartz crystals? (Have more power than you can cope
with. They are natural to your planet.) And the others are more powerful than that? I
feel uncomfortable when I go to various meetings and everybody pulls their huge
crystals. Is that…? (Stay away.)
Myra: So, what if somebody has a lot of those crystals. What would you
recommend should happen to them? (I could not recommend.)
Shira: Well, I have a lot of them. (Laughter.) And I don’t want to give them to
other people if it’s going to hurt them. What should I do? I thought they were beautiful,
and they have a tremendous amount of energy, I’ve noted. I thought it was wonderful
energy. It felt real powerful, real good. I never felt anything negative from it. But now
what should I do with these if they have something negative for others? I wouldn’t want
to do that to others, and I wouldn’t want to put them in my nature spirits’ area, because I
love my nature area? (This is a choice that you have made, ill-advised as it might be,
but it is also a choice that you have to find the resolution for. I cannot tell you what
to do. It is for you and your source group to make that decision. Search within
yourself. Ask your source group for help.)

Jenika: Is there any gem stone that it would be good for me to wear during this
time when I’m making a transition? (Jade.) That’s good for transitional periods? (Yes.
Particularly for water signs.)

Shira: Could you suggest a stone that would help me in my channeling, give me
clarity in channeling, that would invoke higher connection? (Sapphire or opal.)

Betty: I’ve found that in the morning when I look at the various necklaces that I
have now, on different days I want to wear different ones. Is that something I’m
imagining? (No.) So just go with that feeling? (Yes.)

Owen: Would it be inappropriate to give this information, pass this information
that you’ve given us on starseed crystals, on to those who are selling them, those who
will accept information from such a source as yourself? (It would not be inappropriate
to pass it along. It probably would not be accepted.)

Myra: You mentioned that these starseed crystals can influence earth evolution. This
must be in a negative way, then? (Not necessarily. It depends upon the perspective
from which you view it. If I said to you that as a species humankind is about to
become extinct, would that make you comfortable? (Not particularly, no. I hope
you’re not saying that. Are you serious? (We seldom jest.) Does this mean that we’re
getting ready for the year 2000?
Betty: But humankind has become extinct before, has it not? (Not extinct, or
you would not be here.)
Owen: There was always a remnant. (Yes.) In this case you mean no remnant.
(Not in the way that you would know it. As you know, there are great gaps in your
knowledge of history, and that life forms have appeared on the planet without
seeming precedent. You are seeing the implantation of that starseed. I do believe
that we are entering an area here which you are not yet ready to understand, for we
have not yet given our dissertations on Time and Motion and Space.)

Shira: Could I ask you one question please? You stated before that when a
species becomes extinct, that it exists then in the astral plane until there is a new form or
another form in which it can manifest itself. If the human species is to become extinct,
does that then imply that the human species will then be in a state of the astral plane and
captured there until there is a place for it to go, or will it be able to pass through the portal
into the Spirit-Physical Realm of higher understanding and can complete its growth of
higher potentiality? (There will be those of certain levels of consciousness that will go
to, as you say, the Spirit-Physical. There will be those trapped in the astral realm
until a suitable vehicle arrives for the species to culminate.)

Owen: We had a visit, two sessions from an unincarnated soul, Netsok. (Yes.)
When conditions are appropriate for Netsok to incarnate, this would be in other than
human as we understand it now, then? (In the direction in which the current human
form is moving, that would be so.) At that point the current human form would be
extinct, and the new... (Yes.) Now you said that you haven’t given us the material on
Time yet. Now this may take a very long time. (Quite so.) (Laughter and comment.)

Myra: Our geneticists are experimenting with genes. (Yes.) And in our recent news
we’ve learned that the Patent Office has agreed to give patents for new life forms. Could
you comment about this activity?

Sheariam: Your bureaucracies do all kinds of strange things. (laughter) The only
license for life is that which is granted to you through the cosmic connection. We do
jest. (laughter)

Myra: I commented to my husband, “I wonder if they’ll have a rod?”, and he asked me to
explain. He wanted to know if the scientists understand about the rod. (They are moving
in that direction with the new theory of strings.)

Shira: I couldn’t be possible for one to create a new form of life without a rod, and to my
knowledge nothing is created by mistake, so if one were to say they were creating a new
form of life, that might be a manifestation of what God – of the overall picture…
(Merely another grouping of rods.)

Myra: Everything has a rod. (Yes.)

Betty: A long time ago I interrupted a question that Owen posed: “Were all souls created
at once?” (All souls were created in potential within the creation of the realm of
soul.)

Jenika: The extinction that you talked about – would that be from the Earth changes or
from man-made things like war, nuclear accidents? (It will all work together.)

Shira: You say it will all work together. (Yes.) That’s invoking the Will. What if we wish
to invoke other than that. What if we will it not to happen? (You can change the course.
You cannot deny destiny.)

Myra: We can change the way we accept or respond. (Yes.)

Shira: Is it our destiny to become extinct? (In the course of human manifestation you
have predicated that shape of your destiny.) Is it the course of all things to be extinct
then? (Not necessarily. You still have life forms on this planet that were among the
earliest life forms that ever individuated.) But they too will be extinct, won’t they?
(The cockroach may live forever. (laughter) Even if the planet itself destroys all life
on this, then the cockroach will continue? (If the planet disintegrates, then the
cockroach will have no home.)

Owen: If the human race as we know it now becomes extinct, the spiritual energy
represented in the Realms of Self, Ego, and Soul that is manifest in us now, would
continue, would it not? (Yes, it would.) And it could then continue to incarnate but not
in this distinct form. (True.) So, all that we’re losing is not ourselves as spiritual entities
or spiritual energy -- that goes on. (Yes indeed.) All that is lost is physical form that we
have now. (That is true.) (Comment: And it might be better.) Presumably it would be
an improvement.

Shira: But wouldn’t that then mean that the Law of Dominance had not really completely
fulfilled its highest potential in resolving itself on this planet if it’s all destroyed? (It has
destroyed itself many times – the Law of Dominance is forever.) And it’s in every
realm, then, so it’s not just in this realm. (True. But to you, in your 80 to 100-year
span of life, it is very threatening to think that the form which you now bear witness,
the children that you bear of your bodies will cease to exist. What I warn you of
with the STARSEED is the suffering that this physical vehicle must endure in the
certain misuses of these.)

Myra: Which we could avoid by choosing not to have the starseed crystals around.
(Yes.)

Shira: The usage that they utilize for the starseed is to use it as a dreaming vehicle, to
place it under your pillow when you sleep, to inspire you into depths of dream. Is the
depth of dream that you achieve then, is it a realm that you should not be delving into?
(Remember that the physical vehicle is the external manifestation of the psyche…
what happens in the psyche manifests in the physical. Most often what you might
call evil appears with smiles and music before you discover what lies behind the
mask.)

Owen: Are you saying that the starseed crystal influences the psyche? (Yes.) I’d like to
check my understanding of “psyche”. That is the rod and the three innermost subtle
bodies. (And that connection with the Creative and the Mental, that quantum, that
apportionment of liveliness which you have been granted.)

Betty: Now could we go back to the plain quartz crystal? It was my understanding that
we could just ask our Source Group to program those for us. (Within limits.) I haven’t
worried about the ones I have at home since I’ve done that, but even then there is some
potential power there that we cannot deal with even yet? (Potential, yes.) Then would it
be well to take some of these outside of the house into the sunshine and the rain et cetera
and just leave them there? (It is best not to surround yourself with more power than
you can cope with. Imagine yourself living in a room that is lighted to the farthest
corner with the brightest light that you can imagine. How much comfort can you
find there? How much well-being and wholeness? The quartz crystal contains
more force than any of the largest wattage bulbs you can imagine.)

Maxine: What would happen if you would take quartz crystals, or several of them, and
place them at different corners of the house -- the topmost on the roof and one in the
basement and one on the front porch -- would that be a help? (It would not necessarily
be a help. It might set up connective beams of force fields that might become more
powerful than you could afford to live with.)

Jenika: It sounds like we shouldn’t have quartz crystals around us at all. (In moderation
they are great assets.) When you say moderation, do you mean two, three – would that
be too much? (You cannot generalize. One person might do well with one huge
crystal. Another might do well with 100 small ones.)

Betty: Does their power depend on their size? (No. Their power depends on
themselves, but their effect upon you and your environment depends on the
interaction between you and the crystal. Go back to your Wheel of Karma, go back
to the interaction of Life with its Environment. What do you arrive at? Same with
the crystal. The crystal is an environmental object which is developed through the
multiplication and the amplification of consciousnesses over eons of time. There is
much more power in the crystal than in one fragile skeleton.)

Maxine: Is there any way for a person or individual to determine the power of a crystal –
I know that I have two or three crystals. Can I determine the power of that crystal
somehow? (Certainly through your intuitive capacities, through the help of your
Source Group and Guides.)

Myra: So it would be good perhaps to go into meditative state and ask those questions?
(Indeed.)

Betty: Another question of interest: I have understood there are crystals that are
the shape of the human skull around, and that they resonate and pick up transmissions
perfectly. Is this true, and where did they come from? (It is a lovely myth, is it not?
There are such man-made things.)

Myra: How about the crystal ball? This is different from a crystal, or is it? (The
spherical shape is arrived at through the exercise of dominance of mankind.) Is this
a thing to avoid rather than to desire? (A true crystal ball can be a great asset in the
development of intuition.) I’ve always wanted one.

Shira: Was the destruction of Atlantis the same thing as the starseed? Was it
allowing a crystal to take over their environment? (Yes. Atlantis defeated itself by
attempting an ill use of its power.) And now they say the Bermuda Triangle is a result
of perhaps having those huge crystals beneath the ocean. Is that one of the instigators, or
is that one of the frequencies out to manifest the starseeds? Could that possibly be?
(There is a connection, but not direct. We will discuss this more when we discuss
Time, Space and Motion.)

Sheariam: Let us bring our session tonight to a conclusion with a short
meditation. (Many expressions of special appreciation for the personal answers tonight.)
Settle your bodies and relax. Allow your breathing to be rhythmical, and
relaxed. At the base of your spine resides a reservoir of Life Force. Focus your
attention at the base of your spine. This reservoir of Life Force continually
circulates the Force up and down your spinal chord. As you focus your attention
there, there is more power generated. There is more of the Life Force brought up
through the spinal column into the back of the head, into the brain. This activates
certain centers upon which the mind acts.
Allow that Force to gather in the center of the crown of your head. As that
gland is activated, that Crown Chakra becomes receptive to the Universal Force of
Life. As that connection is made, you are recharged, re-energized. Your power is
increased. Now you are doing this in consciousness. You do this every night as you
go to sleep. This is how your Vital Body become revitalized, strengthened.
This reinforces the connection of that arc between your power centers and
the archangels. While you are in this direct connection, the Attributes which you
desire to develop can be thought of. You can strengthen your capacity to be self-
disciplined, to exercise wisdom, to be loving and merciful. Feel that empowerment.
Feel the strength of courage and sense of identity with the Divine.
Now the temple healers approach you gently and help you to shut down this
direct connection, while maintaining the indirect connection which sustains you at
all times. With their help, allow this power, this strength, to return to the reservoir
at the base of your spine.
Take now a very deep breath, and allow it to exhale gently into the center of
your circle, carrying with it some of this power and force to form in the midst a
cloud of strength into which you may invite your loved ones and those for whom you
have concern. (Names softly spoken.) Now as those who so desire bring their
consciousness into this realm to join with you in his healing mode of gaining
strength and power, together you unite your hearts and minds and send the
thoughts of peace, of harmony, of mercy, love, and compassion around your globe.
With love and good will, release your loved ones to return to themselves.
Bring your own awareness back to the present, the here and the now. Be peaceful.
